found another convert today . . . |
|
had to have some medical tests done, so I struck up a conversation with the technician . . . an African-American guy, probably in his 50s . . .
ME: "So . . . who you gonna vote for in November? HIM: (unsure of where I was coming from) "Wow . . . that's a hard one. I voted for Bush last time, but he's disappointed me." ME: "If they ran a sock puppet against Bush, I'd vote for the sock puppet." HIM: (no longer unsure) "My son is in the service, and I'm worried. Bush lied to us. And he's giving all of our tax money to his friends. I won't be voting for him again, that's for sure." ME: "Glad to hear it."
one more converted voter for our side . . . :)

Every Bush supporter I talk to is VERY negative about him. My mother today told me she was disapointed with him, "but didn't know where Kerry stood on the issues."
The fact my wing-nut mother is even "wondering" where Kerry stands on the issues is amazing. She didn't say ONE GOOD THING about Bush.
Like I said, the only people happy with this man are the religious stooges.

3. not unsure of how to vote, just unsure of voicing it to a stranger. |

I can understand that. Most people know the dangers of discussing politics, religion, and the great pumpkin.
