Anybody watching General Shalikashvili?

I don't know if anybody is watching Shali, but I'm watching him right now. Gen. Shalikashvili is a friend of my family, and I've met him before - even sent me a letter for my Eagle court of honor.

I'm enjoying his speech.

Shali's a really likeable guy. He was my dad's immediate boss for a couple of years in Fort Lewis, Washington. He later visited us when we moved to Berlin.

Which pissed me off. I watched it and I thought it was a really good speech. The CNN and MSNBC coverage of the convention has been pissing me off. They keep having Wolf Blitzer and all the other shitbrained pundits analyzing 2 or 3 speeches instead of actually showing all the rest!

I couldn't believe it. Everybody else was busy sharing their wisdom instead of just shutting up and letting the General through. I think it was deliberate...might shake up too many assumptions out there to know that 12 bigtime military types actually prefer Kerry and are willing to stand up and say it! Grrrrr...
