Pll: What was Edwards' best line in support of Kerry? |
|
For me it was:
"Just spend 3 minutes with the men who served with him then and who stand with him now..."
Any question about who you can trust to be Commander in Chief?
A team of Bush/Cheney "chickenhawks"?
Or a team of John Kerry, Vietnam Vet, and John Edwards on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee?
You comments...

1. I was wondering (warning: this is kind of hokey) |
|
when he was speaking to and about his parents,
who was more proud. Now that both my daughters are grown I wonder about those kinds of things,
I almost cried.

2. I liked the way his mother started to nod when he talked about why |
|
they were working so hard (to give him more chances than they had). His father was more stoic.
As for the best line for Kerry, it wasn't directly about Kerry, but the line about the Republicans taking the campaign for the highest office in the land down the lowest possible road, but we can all reject this and bring back hope in a country where everything is possible.
I think the message in that sentiment gives people a persepective on what they're going to hear from the whoremedia and the Republcans that is going to innoculate them from the virus of lies. That will help Kerry significantly, I believe.

because my wife is about to give birth to my first son in September.
And I'm 59 years old.
My parents are deceased.
I cried during that part of the speech in part due to John Edwards' ability to address his parents in the present, and in part to his ability to give his children his vision of hope.
I love John Edwards.
I respect John Kerry.
I admire Howard Dean, Denniis Kucinich, and Bob Graham, who inspired Kerry and Edwards to be who they are today.

7. I especially liked the second half, which contained more new elements, |
|
but completely understand that most of the audience was hearing him for the first time and needed to hear the themes that carried him through the primaries.

3. I vote for the Jackie Wilson song at the begining of it |
|
Great song! Higher and higher. It was the best part of the speech for me.

I had a great LSD experience in Yosemite National Park with that song echoing in my mind long ago... sitting atop a mountain peak. I still have the picture. I was only 25.
Or was it "I want to take you higher.. higher..."
Yeah, It think it was the latter. :-)
