Why would we donate to the Kerry campaign today?
Wouldn't he have only one day to spend the money? Or is this part of a larger plan whereby we see if we can raise a decent chunk of the $75 million that he would have if he accepted federal funds, and then forego both the federal funds and the limits that they impose? That might come in handy, seeing as we would have to stretch them over an extra month longer than Bush* would.

1. What I am ASSUMING is that they have a wide variety of possible
options of where to put the money they get until today. Therefore, they can assign the money as it comes in. As long as it is "invested" today, I think, it will pass regulations. Again, this is my assumption.

2. As long as the Kerry campaign is asking for money
then I think we should assume that they can put it to some good use.

Figuring out how to spend it is their job. Donating it is our job. And this is the last day, so I think we should all dig deep and donate.

I have set up a personal John Kerry supporter page, under my real name "David Allen." If you donate to Kerry's campaign through my page, we can easily keep track of the donation total from DU members! Just click this link to visit my page and send your donation:

My supporter page: http://volunteer.johnkerry.com/member/178307

Look for the link on the right-hand side of the page that says "Make Your Contribution Now."

3. I wish there was some way to mail in or call in and donate.
I want to donate but I don't like putting my info on the net. (I know I'm old fashioned, but).

5. $2,000 limit
can't be enforced if there's no proof of who's donating.

6. I specifically donated $200 so that it /would/ go in the records.
Enough people gotta take a stand so that they can't do anything to us.
