Kerry DID say he would be bringing the troops home!!!
About time he said that.:toast:

Also, the little bio movie showed him as a leader of Vietnam Veterans Against the War in the 1970's.

He talked about reducing our dependency on foreign oil, which is certainly needed for this country to get in a more peacable groove.
:yourock:

He rightly compared the situation of U.S. troops fighting a frustrating war against guerilla's in Afghanistan and Iraq to what he went through in the Vietnam War.

There was just one mistaken part of the plan, which I hope he is intelligent enough to start repairing soon. He seems to think that that our old allies will be so happy to see any President that doesn't look like Bush, that they'll be happy to send in their troops in place of ours, fighting a tenacious local Iraqi population that will do anything and even Sacrifice themselves just to get their country back from foreign occupiers. No politician in any allied country will want to send their troops in there, because they've already seen what happens next: THE PEOPLE OF THEIR OWN COUNTRY WILL THROW 'EM RIGHT OUT LIKE THE SPANISH DID TO AZNAR.

Kerry helped to negotiate a final peace with Vietnam, and he'll have to do pretty much the same thing with Iraq.

1. Kerry's Speech
"I know what we have to do in Iraq," Kerry said. "We need a president who has the credibility to bring our allies to our side and share the burden, reduce the cost to American taxpayers, reduce the risk to American soldiers. That's the right way to get the job done and bring our troops home."
