ABC news dig on Kerry's speach ...

I found something VERY disturbing about ABC's coverage of John Kerry's speach. On TWO different occasions they cut to a side by side display of Al-Arabiya and Al-Jazeera broadcasting Kerry's speach.

Why is this relevant. Well, the Rethuglicans have been trying to create some myth that John Kerry is Osama Bin Laden's candidate. By showing the foreign middle east coverage, they further that association.

I could understand if they should an Al-Jazeera next to a BBC and than maybe German, Korean, Aussie (Fox???) Telemundo, etc... And I'm sure this speach WAS widely carried LIVE on the other side of the world since it's early morning there.

But the focusing on TWO arab language stations shows a DEFINITE conservative bias by the Mickey Mouse Network.

2. I don't see any relevance to it.
Jennings obviously loved the speach.

3. I was disturbed by the same thing
I'm sure if you called them on it they would say that they were just trying to show that the Arab media was covering the speech just like the American media. But...I think the subliminal message was clear and was done deliberately.

8. Well the house of Saud ...
... does have sizeable investments in the Disney company. They're floating Euro Disney. Of course, we all know what they tried to do to Michael Moore's film.

10. They have 5+ trillion of our petrodollars invested in the US.
I wonder who let them take such a large stake in our economy? Can you imagine how they could effect our economy if they liquidated their assets?

12. It wouldn't depreciate our currency ...
... that's about the only real affect besides the fact that a lot of securities could be purchased on the cheap.

All that shit at Wal-Mart would be a little more expensive and dometic wages would be comparitively better.

9. Did you see Anderson on CNN talk to Jennings??
He interviewed him today and asked if he was embarrassed that they weren't showing hardly any of the convention. He said no I am not embarrassed, I am angry!! It was great...I think Michael Moore is getting to the old time media guys and making them think!!
