BIG Mistake by the McCain Campaign-Bringing up his age themselves?? |
|
No one would of paid much attention to Obama's comment, but now they've made it an issue. Too Funny. You can't make this up. They took the bait.

Everybody knows McCain lost his bearings long before he got old. He just reminded us that he was old AND without bearings!

2. If that was his idea of a distraction, he failed miserably. |

His age just emphasizes all his failings. If he didn't have the 'failings', age wouldn't matter.
I heard him give some speech yesterday; I swear, he sounded like *. There were two words confounding him, and he repeatedly got them wrong.

4. When I first heard the comment, I didn't think anything of it. |
|
I didn't take it as an "age" thing ... to me, Obama was simply saying that McCain has lost sight of what's important.
Then I heard the reaction from McCain's campaign and I thought, "Hmmm ... somebody hit a nerve!"
I think they overreacted. I didn't occur to me that Obama was talking about age, so I'm sure there are other people that didn't think anything of it. It wasn't an issue until McCain's campaign made it an issue, which is pretty funny ... and stupid.

McCain is going to be the gift that keeps on giving to Obama. It will be interesting to watch how obviously McCain & Co. will try to "throw the fight" so that he doesn't have to bear the next presidency. Perhaps it's just me, but somehow McCain strikes me as somebody who'd rather be in a boat on a lake.

6. They have seen the polling on this and are worried |
|
A number of polls are clear that Mcsame is very vulnerable on this issue. Now that mccain can afford some polling, the campaign is focusing on it.

Nothing like reminding the public your candidate is a grumpy old man who probably shouldn't have the keys to the car, muchless the country.

8. McCain's campaign can counteract this |
|
by borrowing a page from Fidel Castro and sticking him in an Adidas track suit, taping him doing some jumping jacks and stretches.

12. They do that ALL the time. They point out he's 1000 years old nearly daily |
|
Then they get cranky that they think someone else is doing it, so they bring up his methusla age AGAIN
