O.K. clearly I missed something...Balloons?

What happened with balloons? I went to bed right after he said "Thank you and good night".

1. Something went wrong

There was some type of baloon malfunction. Eventually they started coming down, but slowly.

5. the big fun was CNN running the live mic of a guy who said the F word

about the balloons. "Where are the effing balloons?" or something.

I wasn't watching evil CNN at the time. Later they sort of apologized about it while sniggering.

I watched on C-Span to avoid any silly commentary.

I saw balloons come down.

3. Apparently

they didn't drop all at once, but rather dribbled out.

CSPAN showed them stuck in the rafters, but then would cut
back to floor where there seemed (to me) to be plenty of
balloons and confetti.

Somebody with CNN had a mike near a convention worker, and apparently
he had some strong words with the people operating the balloon.
Apparently said "f**k" at some point. CNN carried it live.
(Again, I was watching CSPAN)

So now this is one of the more important stories of the convention,
much like the "Shove it" meme of a few days ago.

God I hate our media now. Such tools.

4. CNN's coverage of the event is the hot topic this morning...

Apparently, during the balloon drop, there was an open mic somewhere and one can clearly hear the director of events at the convention calling for more balloons, then "more balloons damn it!", followed by the question "What the f**k! are you guys doing up there?" I think there were some other expletives in there too, but I can't be sure.
