Do we need GD:2004 anymore?
...Since the VP selection, it seems like GD:2004 has really slowed down a lot. This forum was built on primary flamewars that morphed into veepstakes flamewars, and now it seems like very few topics even get 20 responses anymore...

Most of the real campaign talk seems to be going on in GD, and it's pretty unclear as to which topics should go where. Most people seem to post major issues in both forums, getting a lot more response in GD. I've found myself coming to this forum less and less lately.

Is it time for GD:2004 to retire? What do you all think?

1. Of course the General Discussion page
is frequently so packed that everything moves too fast.

2. The campaign is just starting!
Now we turn our attention to electing Kerry/Edwards AND a Democratic Congress. We don't want a President Kerry held hostage by a vile, hateful group of out-of-the-mainstream Republican representatives.

I think there'll be plenty to discuss

4. This is the 'meeting room' equivalent to GD
GD moves pretty fast, and GD04 moves a bit slower, ironic since GD04 was packed during the primaries, and often became a collection of flame fests.

But the slower pace is nice, if you want a thread to stay on Page 1 for a while.
