I Am Feeling Something I Haven't Felt In YEARS....

And it is thanks to Obama on Tuesday night, Sharpton and Edwards Wednesday night (although I've heard better Edwards speeches...I don't think he quite had his A-game on on Wedmesday night) and the finale...the homerun that was Kerry's speech on Thursday.

I have begun to feel something I haven't felt in so long...It seems, over the last 3 1/2 years, I have forgotten what it feels like to have HOPE!!

These great Democrats have given me something back...something I haven't had in a long time...they gave me hope, pride, joy...and it really feels good!

Additionally, though a minor speaker, I enjoyed Steve Broznak of New Jersey...he gave me hope in the sense that, he WAS a Republican up to a year and a half ago! My God, they AREN'T ALL brainwashed!! There's still hope for some of them!!

We can do it!! We can do better!! We WILL do better!! Kerry/Edwards, on to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue!! And, I was not really a Kerry supporter until last night. I supported him up till last night in the sense that I have long been an ABB. and then, I supported him somewhat, because of the seletion of Edwards for Veep. Having been an Edwards supporter at the beginning, Dean in the middle, and Edwards again at the end...I felt that at least having Edwards on the ticket...gave me something I could vote FOR...rather than just voting AGAINST BUSH.

Last night, John Kerry gave me something more I can vote FOR.

I will be proud, happy and joyous to call John Kerry MY President!!

Y'all Kerry supporters from way back...the ones I ravaged...on these boards and elsewhere...I am woman enough to look you all in the eyes right now, and say I was wrong about John Kerry. He DOES have what it takes to win back the White House!

Don't underestimate him. He's a closer.

I wasn't either a Dean or Kerry supporter, but I did notice that Kerry was quite the closer in the nomination process. He never gave up, even when everyone in the country had written him off. He seems to be an astute politician who knows how to play the game.

There will be more bumps along the way, and the fight will be vicious. But I think Kerry is one who can fight such a fight. I have great hope. If we don't win, it'll be because half of America is just downright stupid, or greedy for tax cuts, or both. It won't be because Kerry didn't fight the good fight, or didn't deserve to be President.

He's a serious man, which is what we need for these serious times. And I believe him......America CAN do better.

remember him as a closer as well, amazing taht he won that race, I know to the outside, it appears he should have crushed Weld but Weld was very popular in Massachuetts and had received 72% for reelection that year, he attacked Kerry as weak on crime etc but Kerry fought back and won 52-45.

3. No matter what one thinks of Kerry,

it cannot be denied by any rational observer that the Democratic Party is the only major party which actually sees the potential for this to be a single, unified country made of all different races and creeds.

The GOP draws its membership from the wealthy and the religious extremists. The only reason it is a force at all is because the latter category now included about 25 to 30 percent of the electorate.

It cannot attract any other groups on a permanent basis. That is why its party machinery is working overtime to computerize and then defraud the integrity of all future ballot counts.

The changing demographics of this country is yet another area in which "the trend is not their friend."

6. No apology needed...

since everyone was all het up back then.

That's all in the past. What's up now is taking that incredible group of people at the convention and running with them.

No rational person who saw that convention, even the abbreviated network versions, could possibly not be impressed. And only the most craven or brain dead could take some of the "commentary" seriously.

Download and print out the speeches and pass them around. Make videos if possible.

Don't bash Bush, he's doing well enough bashing himself, but talk about how wonderful Kerry and the rest of them are. If anyone at this point still actually likes Shrub, they're probably too far gone to waste time on.

Accentuate the positive, and prove that nice guys can finish first.

And pass out pictures of hamsters until everyone is sick of them.
