Last night, we saw John Kerry make political history. Think about it.!
With the way the convention was laid out last night, with every image that was shared, every piece of music that was played, every speaker that spoke, the order ... every element was intended to reverse a long-term gop tool that they have wielded with much effect over the last 30 years.

And it succeeded.

After listening to the testimony of Wesley Clark, the Green Beret, the former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, and Max Cleland, there could be no doubt that John Kerry is a formidable man in ways that George W. Bush can only dream of. After last night, I expect that Kerry will eliminate the advantage evidenced by the the polls in that crucial question: confidence that the candidate will protect that nation.

The gops have been using this for years.

YEARS.

And now, finally, the Democrats have wrested it away from them. In 2004, the Dmocratic Party owns the issue.

sheer Genius of a Convention. I told People today that ..I'm coming off a high of 4 days of the Dem Convention and then I proceeded to tell them all the details of how Great it was.

I ordered my Kerry/Edwards buttons Tuesday night and they got here today by UPS. Can't wait to wear one tomorrow and give some away..I got Ten!

priveleged to view it. I found out today that a highschool teacher that comes into the co-op where I work was a Delegate and was there. So my mission is to talk to him and tell him ..I know how much fun he was having :) :hi:

5. I've only seen a portion so far - it was excellent. And the reason
Edited on Fri Jul-30-04 07:30 PM by higher class
for me saying that is because my internal monitoring device that measures credibility was in perfect sync! Everyone was genuine. And kudos go to McCauliffe and everyone else who didn't give a speech, plus those delegates who came across as real people. The only minus was the protesters 'prison'. I'd like to learn a little more about that.

8. They were very powerful, Pepperbelly. It was seamless.
They did it TOGETHER. They knew EXACTLY what they were doing and every one of them played a role.

It was astounding in its teamwork.

9. I agree, it was history in the making
I watched the McLaughlin Group tonight and just seeing all the clips of all the speeches gave me a high all over again. BTW, they all rated the convention a success.
