Democratic Vice-President Selector - Whose Your Pick?
Edited on Fri May-09-08 03:45 PM by Median Democrat
I found this interesting website, which lets you enter the factors that you think are most important, then it generates a list of candidates that best match your criteria. Here is my list. Who knew that I liked Jim Webb and Wes Clark as a VP? Also, I don't even know Kathleen Sebelius, yet she is my idealogical twin.

3. I selected several things that would automatically leave her off, but she's still on my list.
Oprah Winfrey? Not in a million years.

I think their function engine is broken.

I got Clark. I love Clark. Yet I've been reluctant to be behind him.

He's simply the perfect VP candidate.

9. Yeah, its like a magic 8 ball...
But Oprah Winfrey? Well, she's low on the list anyways. I also got Clark at the top of my list. What's he doing these days?

14. Flying around, making speeches, showing up whenever Clinton asks him to.
Clark is staying busy. He's absolute canned energy.

7. Richardson was my top choice (and I agree with that)
but EVAN BAYH came out as my #2 -- no way did I see that one coming!

I think Richardson or Wesley Clark would be a good choice.

I think Richardson is the best ticket, the balances are a striking team on offset weaknesses for both.

10. Er, almost EVERY SINGLE ONE of those questions is essentially meaningless.
How about picking someone based on issues, rather than gender/race/geography?

Good grief. I went into it thinking it might be educational, but that's just a waste of time.

17. Just a guess, but I don't think Chris Gregoire would accept
Edited on Fri May-09-08 04:05 PM by FlyingSquirrel
She has unfinished business here in WA and will almost certainly win re-election. But she only beat Dino Rossi by less than 200 votes and that was after two re-counts, so it's a sore point with Republicans still. I don't know that she'd be the best female choice. Boxer, perhaps. (Is she on the list?)
