10. Where are there all these supposed threats from Hillary supporters

who say they will vote for McCain? I haven't seen any. There are probably some, but I've seen many, many more Obama supporters who say they could never vote for Hillary than vice versa.

And, saying that you won't vote for Obama (I don't know who these people supposedly are) doesn't mean you are voting for McCain. Maybe they're in a safe state, and will write in a vote for a candidate they feel good about. Heck, Thom Hartmann voted for Nader in 2000 because he said his state was safe.

There are, in fact, plenty of people HERE who voted for Nader in 2000 and no one seems to think that's breaking the DU rules.

I know that so many of Hillary Clinton's supporters are feeling very REAL pain about the way this primary has gone for her. I remember the devastation I felt when Howard Dean lost to Kerry....and then the total depression I felt when Kerry lost to Bush. It does no good for Obama supporters to dismiss your disappointment. Its very real and it hurts like hell.

We all just need to remember that there are so many other Americans who are also feeling very real pain right now because of the policies of the Bush administration. Whether they are families of soldiers who are fighting in a senseless war, families of soldiers who have been killed in that war, injured soldiers who are having to fight for the benefits they are owed, or people suffering financially. We can't risk a continuation of those hurtful policies under a McCain presidency.

Please, take the posts here with a grain of salt. I have been working on the Obama campaign for over a month and none of my fellow volunteers have even engaged in nasty attacks or smears against Hillary Clinton or her supporters. I think its the anonymity of the internet that allows some people to say mean things to each other. Regardless, it needs to stop.

We are ALL frustrated by what has happened over the last 8 years under Bush and maybe some of us are so used to a fight that now we are misdirecting it at fellow dems. When it comes down to it, we are all just scared shitless of another four years of this same stuff. We are desperate to prevent that from happening and we feel that, for whatever reason, our preferred candidate will be the one to put a stop to it. Let's not forget that Hillary and Barack are members of the exact same party. They are on the same side. We need to accept one with the other. And, as you said, we need to be nice to each other.

Elect a Democrat as President, and more Democrats to House seats, and *especially" 61+ Democrats to the Senate in 2008.

Consolidate the narrow majorities. Everything else is secondary.

We have GOT to turn our country blue again, period full stop. And we can only do that by working together, as Democrats, in the service of our common cause(s).
