Senator Reid in Douglas County Nevada |
I will get to mention DU on Monday with the Reid campaign. The executive committee members of the womens organization that I belong to will get to meet with Senator Reid for 1/2 hour before his fund raiser, pm me or post what you would like for me to bring up. I will get to speak at the fund raiser also because I am a candidate for a local school board postion. Let me know what your hot issues are and I will take my laundry list. By the way I had 60 people at my house for a convention party Thurs and for a luncheon for a fellow worker from Little Rock for the Clark Campaign, it was awesome.

1. My issue is court nominees.. |
so I guess the best issue I can come-up with is delivering Nevada's 5EVs to Kerry. If both Ohio and Florida were to fall into Bush's column this year, Kerry could still win it with Gore's states, West Virginia, and Nevada. FWIW..

2. I hope you mention that the base is very liberal |
Dems need to support all the grassroots activists and quit ignoring their base. I'm also very curious how California volunteers can best help in Nevada. Many are planning to try to help and I'm worried we may do more harm than good.

3. Contact the local (county) Dem party in NV |
You can sign up with your availability here: http://www.nvdems.com/nv_bevolunteer.phpAlternatively, contact a local / county party office via: http://www.nvdems.com/nv_dr_countyparties.phpHelp is *VERY* much appreciated! It's especially in (sub)urban Nevada that we need a lot of help this year...
