In the greater scheme of things the name Prairie Chapel is
a minor sin when compared to the atrocities launched by this corrupt regime. But it pisses me off every time I hear some corporate media flack pronounce the name with the reverence usually accorded to the Sistine Chapel. The arrogance of calling your house a chapel is stunningly blasphemous. It is the height of fraudulence of ascribing religious connotations to what in reality is merely a theatrical set piece to cast this immoral jerk who is afraid of horses as the God-fearing Marlboro Man that some Americans admire. Recently a GOP Congressman talked about the need for a Come-to-Jesus Meeting. The entire RW better hope that session is delayed. Jesus will not treat kindly those that have perverted his message of love of the poor into greed is good. I will enjoy the day that will quickly follow the faux cowboy's exit from the WH. It will be then that Prairie Chapel will be deserted as well just like the props and scenery from other failed shows.

3. The whole "thing" called President bush is based on lies
Yes calling "it" a chapel is more than a little sick but no more
sick than for bush to run around and talk about "his ranch"
to farmers and people in middle America. The "ranch" was built
in 1999 (w/ Enron overseeing the work) for photo ops, the cattle
were rentals, and the film of bush cutting brush in August of
2001 showed he didn't know how to use his chain saw.

What is worse the media knew and still knows the whole thing
was scam and played right along w/ it.

4. Prairie Chapel was built long before Bush was born
Prairie Chapel Road, the road to Prairie Chapel, was built before Bush was born.

Bush built a house on Prairie Chapel Road and co-opted the name (with the help of the press).

Maybe it helps to understand the history.

5.  Thanks for the history lesson, but I don't think it changes my
reaction to his arrogating a long-standing name for his own purposes. I live on a street named after Lincoln but I don't go around calling my place the Gettysburg Address.
