out of airplanes I guess. I don't think Poppy is very proud of his idiot son. I imagine he's supporting him in some way, but you're correct, he's been almost invisible.
If you were Dipshit's father would you campaign for him? Poppy is smart enough to know that his idiot son is taking the world in a direction that we dare not go.
I hope he continues to jump out of airplanes and lets his son sink slowly in the west. If he cares a wit about his country he will.

3. All of the neocons are laying low

Pappy has tried to stay in the background, throughout W's presidency. Don't want people to think daddy's still in charge? That just wouldn't be prudent. However, considering that it's less than 3 months to the election, you would think that the neocons would be all over the place, touting their achievements. It seems that except for W and sometimes FU Cheney, the rest of them are staying close to their hidey holes.

We in Pennsylvania see her every 15 minutes in a "public service" ad about Crohn's disease, which her son Marvin is supposed to have. Anybody else getting these constant Bush ads?

7. I don't think Shrub wants Poppy to have

too much exposure. Remember a lot of people viewed him as being a wimp and Shrubbie wants to maintain the tough "he-man" image. I don't think he wants too much comparisons to dad.
