Most people didn't know it, but College Democrats of America leaders, and super delegates, http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/5/13/233315/650/418/515195">Awais Khaleel(WI) and Lauren Wolfe(MI) endoirsed Obama last night. Khaleel will count as one super delegate vote, but Wolfe is from Michigan and thus does not get a vote.

12. While brushing my teeth, I concluded that Obama needs 6 SDs/day to get 2025 before RBC decision.
Edited on Wed May-14-08 10:29 AM by beat tk
Sound right?

Not that this means anything, it was purely something to do while brushing the teeth.

Edit--this includes speculation about PD's on Tuesday.

20. I don't think we'll get that many SD's ......
the early part of this week, perceptions and all. I don't think the SD's want to be perceived as overturning the will of the people of the great state of WV. People have short memories and also have a hard time differentiating between the popular vote and delegates for some reason, wonder why that is?. I can see hillary turning it into the updated florida redux version of 2008.

I look for the flood gates to open up closer to the oregon primary or right after.

21. The flood gates will open before Oregon
Edited on Wed May-14-08 11:17 AM by IWantAnyDem
He'll ahve over 2000 delegates come May 20.

The reason?

He'll want the voters in Oregon to put him over the top for the nomination. He has to do it on May 20 because of the R&BC meeting on May 31. Unless everybody already knows that it'll go 1/2 vote per delegate in each with the MI uncommitteds going to Obama, he needs to win the nomination before that meeting. On the other hand, if the outcome of that meeting is pretty much known he'll hold back to have the required number on June 3 after South Dakota and Montana vote.

Appearances are everything and if that's the outcome, Hillary gets to go the distance, Obama wins, and everybody got to participate on the Democratic side of things.

Wisconsin Superdelegate for Obama; Delegate Countdown - 133.5 To Go

CHICAGO, IL – Today, Wisconsin Superdelegate State Senator Lena Taylor endorsed Barack Obama, citing his ability to unite Americans for change.

Taylor’s endorsement means that Obama has been endorsed by 289.5 superdelegates. Obama is 133.5 delegates away from securing the Democratic nomination.

Taylor said, “After much reflection and soul searching I am pleased to announce my endorsement for Senator Barack Obama. After a review of my recent County Executive race I am more aware then ever of the need to galvanize, motivate and inspire political participation by every member of society. Senator Obama has been a lightening rod in the effort to return citizens to the process. He’s awakened a sleeping giant – the people. He has reenergized those weary of politics as we have come to know it by demonstrating both character and personal strength. He has connected with a cross-section of Americans, with a desire to do things better then we have done before. He has an energy and commitment that is inclusive, thoughtful, contagious and deliberate. Senator Obama has the essential skill set to foster positive changes desperately needed for our nation. His track record on policy, his diplomatic approach to conflict resolution and his keen awareness of the issues have positioned him to be the catalyst for change we need. Visionary, courageous and capable, Senator Obama is not only prepared to answer that 3am crisis phone call, he’s smart and experienced enough to avert it. I’m proud to

33. DNC Ficano (MI) ENDORSES OBAMA
Ficano endorses Obama
By TODD SPANGLER • FREE PRESS WASHINGTON STAFF • May 14, 2008

Wayne County Executive Bob Ficano is firmly in Barack Obama's camp.

He made the announcement of his endorsement today following a discussion with Obama before a town hall meeting in Sterling Heights. Ficano is one of the state's 29 superdelegates and becomes the fourth to officially throw his support behind Obama.

Does not count now because MI cannot seat delegates
