Controlling the news cycles. Obama campaign shows it knows what it is doing. |
|
Edited on Wed May-14-08 04:36 PM by SoonerPride
Loss yesterday trumped by big endorsement news today. Edwards! Slam dunk.
The Obama campaign is now dictating the news cycles.
They were behind the 8 ball for a couple of weeks with the ABC debate/Wright/flag pin crap but now they are on top of the news cycles, controlling the press coverage they need.

3. They were constantly deflecting her body blows, while never replying in kind |
|
Never stooping to the ad hominem attacks she was launching kept them in a defensive posture.
Still, they would trickle out a few supers here and there to soften rough news cycles and make sure there was some positive press for the day.
But now, they've got an end-game strategy in place and they know which cards everyone at the table has in their hand and they will double down when the time is right.

5. How they could take a vast war chest and lose is baffling isn't it? |
|
Hillary's team still raised more than any campaign in history - save Obama's -and they went so deep in debt it is baffling.
Bad management is right.
I think her failures will be studied for years to come.

12. I think you're absolutely correct. Poly sci majors will |

study Carville for one end of the spectrum, and Penn for the other.
Or maybe a compare/contrast of the husband/wife team that is Billary.

4. Obviously this wasn't a coincidence. |

When do you think they'll unveil the next big endorsment? When would be good, strategically?
I'll bet it's Gore.

He's supposed to make a valedictory type speech then.

9. Yep.. and it is brilliant. Except for Wright/Bittergates, they've never really faltered, and even |
|
then.. they held steady through the storm. Smart, smart SMART people. Books will be written about his historical campaign, on ALL levels.

10. I agree. The sideshow crap took them off message for a couple of weeks. |
|
Now they've got the end game mapped otu brilliantly.
You can see it coming.
Hillary is playing checkers and Obama is playing chess.
McCain is playing with himself.

17. Let's hope the Gore endorsement comes out right after Hill's KY win... |
|
I see a pattern here. Clinton wins a contest that doesn't mean anything.. and either 5 super D's or a huge endorsement come out for him the next day. Hopefully he's keeping all of his cards close and playing them one at a time. You'd almost have to think he has this all laid out.. and that is why he's confident enough to start campaigning against McCain (where he belongs).
GOBAMA!

19. I wonder what JRE's tipping point was? It'll be interesting to see if |
|
this was pre-planned, or if something happened in WV that pushed him to Obama? I'm thinking that Hillary's comments to the AP may have damaged her with a lot of SD's. And the fact that we're picking up long held Repub Congressional seats, despite the Pukes spending huge amounts of money to attach the candidates to Obama, and they're still losing.
Obama may not win WV, but I think he'll make up for it in other places.

I'll bet those sea bass eyes are bulged out about 3 inches, she's spitting nails left and right, throwing things, and beating up on underlings.

22. Andrea Mitchell made the point that Clinton has her big money backers |
|
gathered at her home in DC to figure out fundraising, going forward, and the interviews she did for the three big networks were supposed to lead the newshour, and JRE & Obama knocked her off the front page.
I agree, she must be spitting nails, at this point.
