Who's with me?: I think the JRE endorsement today was a powerful message from party insiders to HRC
For months now, since just post Super Tuesday, there has been a list of 4 people who the media view as the ones who will help draw this process to an end. They are:
1. Al Gore.
2. John Edwards
3. Nancy Pelosi
4. President Carter

The above 4 were not going to endorse until after the proccess was completed, we were told. However, I think that the respected party elders have become increasingly distressed with the tone of Senator Clinton's campaign, her "white voter" remark, and seem to understand that she has no mathematical chance to win this thing and wonder why she is staying in if not to tear down our nominee, Senator Obama.

I think Senator Edwards endorsing Senator Obama earlier than one would have expected is a powerful message. The party is saying to Senator Clinton. Enough! It's time to unite around the man who has won the primary. It's time to unite around Senator Obama. The elders sent a very clear signal today that it's time for this to end. This is just the 1st step, however, I'm sure if she insists on staying in.
