Poll question: If the primaries started today, who would you support?
Since the real race is over, I thought it might be fun to see what results we'd get if we could choose our candidates again. So...knowing what you know today, who would you support if we were starting the race from scratch?

1. Biden, still the best qualified and most electable of all the candidates.

Looks like old Joe's gonna have a big majority to work with this November.

32. If you think that Obama's bitter gaffe damaged him
Just imagine tape recording Joe Biden 24/7. He would have dug himself too many holes after just a couple of weeks of being the frontrunner.

50. Actually I don't think Obama's bitter comment damaged him
I think he spoke the truth...

Funny how you are going after the supporters of a candidate that's long out of the race. I like Joe for his no holds barred comments, but will be voting for the democratic candidate come November.

The best thing about Joe is his so-called gaffes.

3. I agree, Joe would have been the most qualified, but if the primary
would have been winner take all, and all held on the same day, my guess was that Hillary would have won.

24. Biden was always my #1, Obama always my #2 ...
They are identical in their political philosophy, iimo, are both straight-shooters, pragmatists, don't pander, and are very, very smart. Biden's been creating change in D.C. for 35 years (Violence Against Women act, Biden Crime Bill, Bosnian intervention) but Obama is a more symbolic figure now.

Nothing Joe could do since the media completely ignored him and his superior debate performances. (I got sick everytime a pundit would say Hillary "won" a debate because she "seemed strong" even when she said absolutely nothing of substance)

5. In a Primary you should vote your values. 70% of the American people agree with.....
the Kucinich values.

Barrack and Hillary (and even Edwards before he stepped down) were slowly absorbing the Kucinich message. That is why they are here now.
The war, universal health care, negotiate for peace, environment, etc......

7. Obama, but I really liked Edwards and Richardson too
It was a tough decision for me, and I did not make it fully until after Iowa. I thought we had a lot of great candidates but my gut said Obama the whole time...at first it was hard to articulate, it was just a feeling. But the more I read and saw the more I became convinced. I just can't believe I'm actually going to get my first choice on the top of the ticket...which is why I can't understand the Obama supporters who say they won't vote for him if he puts Clinton on the bottom of the ticket.

13. Oh lord, my neighbor had a couple of his signs in the yard
back when he attempted to run for the senate. The guy had a corner lot, and positioned them so you had to see it coming or going. There were actually several of them in my neighborhood (since moved). Total craziness.

34. He actually has a good platform
if you're one of those conservative religious types. Plus he's great in debates and always looks smarter than his opponents. Just look at the debate in 2000 hosted by Larry King between Keyes, McCain, and Bush. He looked like a man debating with little boys.

14. Defintely Obama..
He would've been my first choice at the beginning if I had known of him what I know now! :D Edwards would be a very close second, though! :) And Hillary? She was in my top 3 at first but if it were all starting today, with all I know now......more towards the bottom of the list..:/ lol

I would totally vote for Dennis if I thought he had a chance. :( He's a true fighter and patriot and I totally agree with his message...I hope that one day, he's given more credit and more of a chance than he has gotten in his tries thus far! *sighs* But he continues to accomplish so much in Congress!

He has run a awesome, grassroots and netroots race against the most feared pol on the dem side who had ALL the advantages in the world.

And her kicked her ass!

Obama will do the same to the thug party in the fall and usher in a new chapter in american political history.

The republican party will be decimated. They will crawl back into their holes for the next 30 years or so.

GOBAMA! YES WE CAN! :woohoo:
