told them he doesn't belong on t.v. and if I see him again on their network I'll change the channel. He's an abomination.

2. Pat sometimes makes sense |
|
Like he's anti-NeoCon, but just when you think Pat isn't all that crazy, he goes out and proves it beyond any doubt. :)

5. It scares me too when he once in a while says something that makes sense. |
|
But then he soon follows up with something bigoted and vile. And then I am comfortable again considering him an asshole.

14. I remember watching the McGlaughlin Group |
|
in '03 and Pat just went off on Bush and the NeoCons. I was like "Holy shit! Pat that was awesome!" It was great too. He hit on lots of stuff that I believe in and that is wrong with how and why we ended up invading and occupying Iraq. Then the next week, Pat flipped out on abortion and LBGTs etc, and I was like: "Yup, that's why Pat is a widely known nutball."

10. I believe there are tens of thousands of qualified, intelligent sensible people |

that the MSM could promote in his stead. There is no shortage of more qualified pundits.

13. the problem is that the Right embraces |
|
the craziness. And Pat has worked for Nixon and ran for president, with a bit of success too. So he's a recognizable RWer and he makes for entertaining tv. Which of course, isn't always a good thing, not for us anyway.

I've seen vague references to it, but haven't seen it, and it would probably be over before I got to the tv. Thanks.

11. My take is that he's vigorously fighting for Hillary, and using WV results against Obama. |
|
In a nutshell, my feeling is that Pat is saying that because WV is mostly white, and they voted overwhelmingly for Hillary, we should take note that Obama cannot be elected because he is African American.
For the sake of honest disclosure, I was originally a Hillary supporter, and supported her in my State Primary. I honestly vacillated between the two, because I like Obama too. Now that it seems apparent that Obama is the nominee apparent, I am 100% for him and will vote accordingly.
Having said that, I think Buchanan is full of shit. I think he is just horrified at the thought of a Black American being President. For gawds sakes, he is a major conservative, and will probably vote for McSame anyway.
He's a bigot, about ready to have a stroke.

He's a real weirdo, isn't he?
He comes across as a real avuncular, friendly guy that makes a lot more sense, on a lot of issues, than most conservatives. Then he talks a little too long, and his racist mindset is revealed in all of its glory.

16. Oh yeah. He's a bigot through and through. |
|
And I think he is absolutely hysterical at the idea of a Black man being our next President.
Buchanan does not care one iota about what Obama stands for or what his qualifications are, or what he could do to fix the mess president cheney has created. He's only concerned that Obama's skin is brown! :eyes: :wow:

6. He REALLY doesn't want Obama to win the White House |
|
because he'll be viewed as part of the 'static America' that Obama referred to in his race speech. Pat Buchanan needs to stand aside while the rest of us pick up his slack and move this country forward. :patriot:

7. They, the racist republicans made their bed & wanted John Edwards gone, for obvious reasons.... |
|
Edited on Thu May-15-08 02:39 AM by LaPera
So now take this.....
The republicans thought it would serve them better, instead of Edwards (who indeed would of beat their brains in) to have a black candidate vs, their choice, Hillary (whom they prepared for, for four years and thought would easily win the Dem nomination)...Now, their true "colors" are showing, the republicans are melting down and will throw out racism as their only card to play over and over until November!
Sick elitist racist fucks!!

15. Tucker Annoys Me More |
|
Pat Buchanan is what he is. When he's not being a paranoid, sexist, semi-bigot, he really does say some intelligent things -- often with an underlying motive. But everybody knows his motives. He's no Hillary fan, either. He just loves stirring things up with the democrats, and right now supporting Hillary is the way to do that.
But when he gets called on it, he really doesn't do anything to hide his loyalties. Matthews and Scarborough have both called him on what he does, and he laughs along with them and sometimes even says something the equivalent of "Well, you got me."
Tucker, on the other hand, makes the most underhanded snipes and really tries to keep the dem battle going under the mantra "I'm just trying to be fair here." One time I saw Matthews call him on it, and he flashed this incredible giveaway smile, then tried to deny it.
It's the sneaky ones who bug me. Pat is pretty straightforward with his lunacy... And he can be pretty funny. I suspect he'll eventually be pulled for some comment he makes about women. He really has some old-school issues.
