Conservatives support Constitutionally-limited government, fiscal prudence, respect for individual rights, the rule of law, the separation of powers, and peaceful international relations.

The Republican Party currently supports unlimited government, runs catastrophic deficits, disdains individual rights, sees law as a tool for the powerful to crush the powerless, espouses an omnipotent and un-American “unitary executive,” and seeks to enrich its patrons with unlimited wars of aggression around the globe. It is conservative only in its rhetoric.

At least the Democrats are relatively honest about their philosophy of government.

I worked on Capitol Hill during the 1980s and I still revere President Reagan.

I’m supporting Barack Obama in 2008.

If he so reveres reagan, then how could he support Barack Obama or any Democratic Candidate?

5. What is really interesting, is that these republics seem to be saying
that they think Obama has the best chance to end what has been happening over the last eight years, even though they may not like a lot of his policies.

12. This was someone from New York. But based on these feeling
this might mean better fortunes for Obama in the Northern/rust belt states.

2. Excellent vague headline. 20 points for spin!
You have to click in to see that it is the man who reveres Reagan, and not Obama.

10. I hope that is not Obama code for I will continue the Reagan
theme. People will be asked to pull themselves up by their own boot straps regardless if they even have boots. That Reagan talk does not resonate will with me regardless of whom is using it.

11. Not sure what you are referring to.
I am not advocating that Obama take ANY of Reagan's themes, or that Obama has actually adopted any of Reagans theme's.

I would consider the two as polar opposites.
