ok, absent the internet all last night, how long did it take after Edwards endorsement
for the clinton camp to throw him under the bus?

was it measured in hours, minutes, seconds or nanoseconds?

(just curious)

15. Indeed. The Borg reaction was predictable - vile, vitriolic, and extreme.

4. Are you kidding?
John and Elizabeth Edwards have BEEN under the bus for a couple of months. Horrible things have been said about them, repeatedly, by Obama fans.

Then, miraculously, yesterday, he was pulled out and brushed off and the angels sang.

(Elizabeth, however, is still under there.)

11. Um...nope, wasn't kidding. was honestly curious.
btw: I'm an origingal Kucinich/Edwards supporter who switched to Obama when Edwards dropped out. I NEVER threw Edwards under the bus. I was always hoping he'd get a VP slot as he is the best candidate for union issues.

5. They didn't.. Her campaign simply said it was a disappointment.
If you're talking about Clinton supporters here, yeah a lot of them were angry, but others weren't. And the real fury seems to have come from many Edwards supporters who don't support Obama.

10. For some of them, it was much less than a nanosecond.
In fact, it may have happened even before the endorsement.

Just sayin'......

12. They are running out of room under the bus..

So they had to run him through the meat grinder first :)

Soon I think they'll be reverting to cannibalism, why let all that meat go to waste?

Then again they might just use that old War Trick of propping up the bodies so the enemy doesnt know how low your troop numbers are, then when they've loaded the bodies in the Seats on the bus, Hillary can bulge her eyes out, point at one like she's known them forever, and wave at her "crowd" of "admirers" and newly minted "supporters" to show the Press how Popular she is!

Gosh, if she was only running for Class President all of this would make more sense..

Hey, wait a minute... :)

I just realized why I so intensely dislike her.. She's that phony-ass, ever grinning, oh-so-popular CHEER LEADER from High School that most people could barely stand... Married the Jock that screws around on her, but she NEEDS his Notoriety so she can Run for Class President..

Yep, all makes sense now.. Obama is the cool black kid that likes everyone, smart, but not dorky smart..

And McCain of course is the Creepy JANITOR popping up from the bowels of the School when you don't want him around, saying really weird "old guy" shit.. :)

13. Team Clinton's talking point is that Edwards is a loser
they've been squeezing it in all morning.
They just keep digging themselves deeper into the ground, don't they.

16. Don't forget the "elitist" meme.
It's like they're building their vocabulary ... use the word in a sentence 10-20 times each day and it's theirs.

14. Well, I'm an Obama supporter who wasn't that keen on Edwards's endorsement
It was a real test for me, actually, because I wondered after it was announced (but before it happened) if my predilection for Obama would make me suddenly see John Edwards in a better light than I had in the past--that is to say, if I am susceptible to the fickleness that "team" politics tends to breed. Am I just as fan-driven as the rest? Would I sway in the wind because someone agrees with my choice?

Listening to him, however, I realized I still really don't care for the man, and in a pretty big way: it was barely an endorsement speech but rather a speech about himself, about his own one america theme, about how "we" (huh?) will get all this stuff done (and he didn't mean we the people). He gave no reasons as to why he was supporting Obama, as Richardson, Kennedy, Dodd and others have done. He listed none of Obama's strengths (though he did do that for Hillary): he simply implied that this is going to be the nominee, so let's get behind him. I found it egotistical and off-putting.

I guess my political moorings are solid. I don't care if he endorsed my guy. I still find him irritating. And it made me more certain of my insticts to support Obama.
