1. That's Laudable But All I See Are Long Knives For Clinton Supporters Here |
|
I usually do not engage but I am in a dyspeptic mood and arguing, fighting, however you want to characterize it is cathartic...
Hillary has become this board's pinata...

2. Hillary will endorse Barack and then where will those people go? |
|
Will they defect away from here? Will they disown Hillary who will fully back and endorse and tell people to vote for Obama (and will mean it with all her heart)?
Maybe.
But 99% will come around.
Unite now.
Olive branches for everyone.
Peace.

5. Back in 2004 many left here and .... |
|
started their own board, then they turned on each other. Some came back some didn't, but as far as I know... we, they are all still righteous good democrats.
Time heals many things, but in order for the healing to begin, you gotta stop pouring salt on them.

Chill the fuck out.
We're all fighting the good fight against the EVIL republicans.
Unite and we cannot be stopped.
Divided we fail.

who needs to hurry up with the olive branch.
That would help all Dems. She could do that even while finishing out her campaign stops in all the states, and not have it said that she didn't make it over the geographical finish line.
Hillary should switch to a very positive note now....until she does that, it's hard to expect her supporters to be at that olive branch moment.

There's always that chance. :)
But now is the time to unite and fight our common enemy.

17. I have severe Bush /Rethug Post-Traumatic Syndrome |
|
(and it's not even the 'post' Bu$h era yet). And then after this primary season I'm even more risk-adverse. So getting whipped with an olive branch isn't real appealing. Let the Hillary supporters calm down a bit. It would help if their candidate would sincerely take the lead on that.
I have worked for a candidate who lost--it hurts. And then we've all been through the nightmare of the last 2 presidential thefts. It hurts. It hurts to the bone if you've really pulled hard and kept the vigil for a candidate. It does take a little time to face reality. So I sympathize with how the Hillary supporters might be feeling. It was hard for me to turn off to Hillary, but I had to. She does not embody the best example of leadership choices that we have in the Dem party. Her supporters should now appeal to Hillary to extend congratulations and support to Obama. She is continuing her divisive tone beyond reason.
OK so go ahead and try extending the cyber olive branch Sooner, and maybe we can begin the healing that needs to take place. Not trying to sneer at your efforts but it may take awhile. It doesn't hurt to keep putting it out there. We whose candidate won should welcome those Hillary supporters who want to pull together against our common enemy. If I see the peace pipe passed at DU I will know that it truly has happened. It's been a war zone here.

But as long as Clinton insists it's not and denigrates Obama, she's fair game.

And it is the right of her supporters to oppose his candidacy in the November election even if exercising a right isn't right...

My point is folks here have every right to heap abuse on Hillary and her supporters and Hillary and her supporters have every right to respond to their abuse in the matter they see fit...

9. Oh I understand the sentiment. But let it slide. |
|
Her campaign is in tatters and now it just seems to be piling on.
It is over.
They are defeated.
Leave em be.
Offer them a hand up, dust 'em off, give 'em a hug and welcome them back into the family. They fought a good fight and now it is time to stand shoulder to shoulder and march on Washington united and resolved.
If they can turn their animus towards the republicans and away from Obama supporters, imagaine how potent a force they can be for change. They really should be commened for their unswerving energy.
Peace.

This little tiff ain't no thing.
Peace and tranquility will prevail once the heat of the moment fades.
Peace and love amongst our brothers and sisters.
Unite against a common foe.
You are not my enemy nor am I yours.
