If you vote for MCCain, you have some explaining to do
explain it to them:

the men and women who come home forever maimed and disabled for NOTHING

explain it to them:

the men and women who don't come home at all

explain it to them:

the parents and families who will never get to embrace a loved one again

explain it to them:

the innocent civilians whose lives mean nothing to this administration

If you vote for McCain out of spite, anger, childishness, ego, or vanity: The blood of the innocent and the soldiers will be on your hands too.

Don't let these vile merchants of death keep their grip on this nation. VOTE DEMOCRAT NO MATTER WHAT. You might feel a moment's satisfaction for "showing them", but in the long run you'll regret it.

1. What makes you think a D. victory will stop that while...
...an R. victory will permit it? What basis is there is believe anything these politicians say? How do we know that O and McC are not just pandering to their own respective bases with no intention of following through in office? It's not like the Ds have done jack shit about this since being in the majority.

Of course none of these folks will be instantly cured when we leave. We also have to be cognizant of the possibility that even more will be killed and mained in the chaos that might follow our departure. One might argue that the case for leaving Iraq is a case to protect our own at the expense of Iraqis when we were the ones who created the violence in the first place.

I'm not arguing that any of the foregoing is true or will happen, but only that the case from a partisan point of view is not as clear as you suggest. Once again, the argument from empathy or guilt fails to convince.

2. there will be either a D or an R in the White House
Which do YOU think will be more likely to do something about it? Which one do YOU think will be more likely to start more wars?
