Could McCain be playing rope-a-dope with the Repub. Leadership? |
|
One thought I had today is that McCain may be showing loyalty to the party so that he can be in optimum position to tear Dubya a new one-on national primetime coverage. I can almost imagine the speech.
"Do you want a president who will cut the deficit, take the fight to AQ's leadership, create millions of jobs, and lead America with honesty and integrity? Do you want someone who's had to make tough judgements to protect American lives? Do you want a leader, and not a follower? Then I'll tell you who you should vote for: it's not the guy this nomination is centered around. Instead, I call upon you to join me in revolt and support John Kerry's bid for the Presidency. Senator Kerry, my name is John McCain, and I'M REPORTING FOR DUTY!"
He sounded mighty peeved at the attacks on John Kerry's service.

1. No, he's just a good man despite being a Republican |
|
He seen these guys in action and how the Bush supporters screwed him in South Carolina. He is just standing up for what is right in my honest opinion.
Sadly, I like the guy but I wonder where his pride is at. The regime would stab him in the back again along with the four or five knives on it already but he'll never learn. He's a royal Republican and will be till the end.

2. I can't see him doing that but... |
|
I can see him making a deliberately lackluster speech or maybe making a "gaffe" or two that would actually bring attention to *'s weaknesses.
I'm sure of one thing though, he hasn't forgiven them for South Carolina, and he'll get them back, even if its behind the scenes and we're not sure how he did it.

Implies that an enemy is dumb enough to fall for it.
McCain's been *around*.
He's maintaining his independance, and keeping his party money.
