THE TIME HAS COME.
Edited on Thu May-15-08 03:56 PM by Labors of Hercules
Barack Obama will be the Democratic Nominee for President.

Hillary Clinton will continue to serve in the U.S. Senate and become a powerful lasting force in the halls of Congress.

It is now time for the fighting, arguing and irrational behavior of this Primary campaign to CEASE AND DESIST.

It is now time to make your decision: Will you support our Democratic nominee, Barack Obama and his choice for Vice President?

We've got a BIG FISH TO FRY, and need your help to get the oil NICE AND HOT!!!

3. I'm just sick of all the irrational bullshit.
There are so many things we need to be talking about, and "how horrible X's supporters are" is not one of them!!!

2. The GDP Forum needs to cease from existence before that happens here on DU
We shouldn't be wishy-washy about this anymore. At this point in time, keeping GDP open (or not transitioning) is tantamount to collusion with McCain and the opposing party.

I hate to use strong words here, but I really believe this to be true.

18. And when did he stop campaigning?
Edited on Thu May-15-08 04:23 PM by phrigndumass
edited to add: He stopped campaigning when the math showed it was impossible for him to win. This is the same exact situation Senator Clinton is in.

16. It's crazy. DU (with all due respect) is Primary Purgatory.
You can't post about Obama vs. McCain in General Discussion because they want none of that in there. You can't post about Obama vs. McCain in GDP because Clinton supporters would shit all over it and then blame you for not "uniting the party".

PURGATORY.

DU Admins, please, open up GD to Obama vs. McCain discussion, or create a new forum for it.

4. the time has not come yet... let this finish. I understand you are trying to mend things and I
appreciate that... but it is not yet time. He is not the nominee yet.

Let the primaries play out, and let MI and FL get settled... then, if he is the nominee, we can start to mend fences...

but please dont jump the gun, as honorable as the intention, it is offensive.

but give it time, some folks need time to grieve

And some... will never see the light, even after the concession is given

20. The Time Has Come For So Many Here To STFU With Their Premature Calls For Moving On Already.
Granted, Obama is more than likely to be the nominee. However, as it stands right now, the primary contest continues. As long as that's the case, and until Skinner issues his declaration that Obama is officially the presumptive nominee, then you little hidden agenda baiters should really just stfu already and learn how to deal with the fact that the primary is in fact, at this moment, ongoing. That could end on any given day, but as it stands right now that's how it is. So get over it.
