Hillary Clinton will endorse Barack Obama.
Edited on Thu May-15-08 04:42 PM by SoonerPride
Yes, she will.

Maybe not today.
Maybe not next week.
But long before the convention.

Have no fear: Hillary Clinton will endorse, enthusiastically, unequivocally, loudly, proudly.... she WILL endorse Barack Obama.

United We Stand.

She will be on board and back the nominee. It will happen.

I hope that the Hillary backers will follow HER lead and unite behind the best option we have to save America. He my not be your first choice, your second choice or even your 20th choice. But he is a damn site far better than fucking John McCain. All Democrats should agree with that.

John Kerry does
Chris Dodd does
Bill Richardson does
John Edwards does

And Hillary Clinton will too.

16. If she has done damage to Obama...
then he's not ready for the general, because the republican attacks are going to make Hillary's attacks look like teasing.

As a Clinton supporter I have no doubt in my mind that Hillary will endorse Obama when/if he is the nominee. And, like she said, she will campaign her heart out for him.

You must be one of those younguns that Obama brought on board. Politics is not for the faint of heart. It's fast and ugly but we will forget spats and quarrels of the primary quickly because the general election will bring fresh new hell everyday.

56. then they are voting against all that Hillary supports
if she is that important to you because of what she stands for, then you are letting her down and undermining lifelong causes she has championed in not supporting the Democratic nominee.

but if supporting Hillary is more important than supporting her values, which make her what she is, then that's how you set priorities.

60. So are you saying that "Fresh sores" are going to trump
health care reform, a quicker end to the war, liberals on the SCOTUS, foreclosures, and a failing economy? I have seen at least 3 Hillary supporters in the last hour claim they will vote for Nader or write her in should she lose the nomination. I for one hope that when the nominee is chosen that people advocating a loss for Democrats are booted right the fuck off of DU.

were going to fight Obama in the GE anyway for the last phase of Operation Chaos.

I can't think of many women who would gamble away their daughters' rights because they didn't get their way in an election.

Anger over womens' issues is just a smokescreen. Anyone who says they'll back McCain didn't share Democratic party values to begin with. IMO of course.

When those idiots organize to fight Obama in the GE, I'll betcha the first people to beat them up will be Hillary card-carrying Democratic supporters who won't appreciate the charade.

She just wants to see this to the end. She has a lot invested and she has millions of people who are going to be disappointed that she did not win. But they will never be disappointed that she did not fight. She has fought valiantly in my opinion. All the Dems on your list, including Senator Clinton, are a group that I am very proud of. I am also proud of Senator Obama too.

That's the place where "present" is actually allowed as a vote - not in the US Senate. "Present" is usually used as a strategic move and does not indicate "hiding under a desk." Word. Know things. It's kinda neat. Obama = Your nominee, too.

69. I have chosen to remain neutral throughout this process.
I looked at them both and I like them both. I am also hopeful that we will vote OUT a lot of Republicans this fall from the House and Senate. To me, that is as important as who we get for President. We need everyone to vote Straight Party Democrat. I care about the 3 possible Supreme Court nominations that may come up during this term. It is hard to undo what George Bush has done, but we must put aside any petty differences no matter how important we think they are. There is too much on the line. Clinton supporters should find out who in their congressional district is up for re-election and if they are a Republican, work hard for the Democrat challenger. We can do this. Don't worry about Obama. He will have a lot of pressure on him to deliver on his campaign promises. If he doesn't do what he says he will do he will get a one way ticket out of there in four years.

71. Of course, she will! She will be his VP
If Hillary Clinton doesn't capture the nomination -- which, barring upsets in Oregon, SD and Montana, she seems unlikely to do -- will be the VP nominee. There is an inevitable and irresistible political logic, inexorably driving in that direction. By the end of the primary she will almost certainly be ahead of Obama in the popular vote. If and when Florida and Michigan are seated, she will be within a 100 delegates of him. Her supporters are just as passionate about her as Obama's are about him. Between the two of them they will have garnered nearly 40, 000, 000 votes -- an amazing number. The best way to ensure that the vast, vast majority of those voters remain committed and engaged through the GE is a joint ticket. The best way to ensure that some significant number of those voters sit out the GE or go for McCain is for Obama to stiff arm Clinton.
