Republicans are only throwing mud to see what will stick... |
|
That is what George W Bush and John McCain were doing today. Bush compared him to Neville Chamberlain and McCain says he is an ally of Hamas, a terrorist organization. They are running experimental issues at this early time in the election. If they can find one that will stick, they will run it to death. The right-wing radio will pick it up and all the Republicans on the pundit shows will repeat it over and over until it is ingrained in every brain in America.
As of now, they are just throwing mud to see what will stick. So far, they haven't found anything. But they will keep on slinging, because they have nothing else. But most folks know their modus operandi by now. And most folks are full up to their keisters with Republican character attacks and dirty politics. I seriously doubt that they will be successful with their same tactics this time around.

I've seen a lot of that happening in the Democratic presidential nomination campaign. It's been not how tall a candidate can be, but how small they can make their opponent appear. I sure hope it's over now.
