I am extremely glad he is too!
You know, thinking this one over...
I suspect that the Republicans don't have anyone as smart or charismatic, or ethical as Barack Obama...
How good is that!

2. I'm so pissed at that asshat Pat Buchanan. |

What a piece of shit. I don't want to be any part of what he claims is "one of us."

3. Looking at how he has run his campaign, I think he may be one of the smartest men |

to ever grace the party. There isn't a politician or pundit that he hasn't been ten steps ahead of. Yes, I am certainly very glad he is one of us. I hate to think what he could do if his intelligence were combined with Rovian sociopathy.

Thankfully Obama refuses to adopt Rove's strategy.

8. that might be a DLC definition |

I used to think of liberals as kinda centrist - the capitalist status quo with a few more regulations and slightly higher taxes and I considered the progressives to be to the left of that, leaning towards socialism. Imagine my surprise when I found out the Wisconsin school progressives were Republicans.
I think of Obama as mostly centrist too, certainly not the anti-poverty corporate fighting rhetoric that Edwards used. I'm not sure what Obama's campaign proposals are other than health care without a mandate which seems like a small and viable step in the right direction. Mainly I expect him to be better because he won't stir up the anti-Clinton monsters and hopefully won't be so quick to adopt Republican talking points as the Clinton/DLC has been.

However, he did out-organize us, so I'm all for joining the party and taking advantage, myself.
