I will be partying with my fellow Obama supporters at the Press Box in Missoula.

The bar reserves us a wide screen TV for us to watch the returns come in.

16. really
Our middle daughter has been there since the end of January on a study abroad program. Her major is religious studies with a world concentration - and she's always been fascinated with India, where a childhood friend's family was from - so it was perfect. The program is ending - so we are coming at the end of the program - she will be our guide. It's a pretty exotic and will definitely be a trip to remember - and it's great to here that at long last the primary may be over and Obama the presumed nominee.

31. How exciting for all of you
If memory serves, this is the one who was at Pepperdine when Kerry gave his religious speech?? Or have I got your daughter mixed up with somebody else's? It sounds so incredibly exciting, will you have internet access at all? I'd love to get your daily reactions, and see pics of course. And of course you are thrilled to be seeing your daughter again, most important of all.

26. Obama to be in Tampa FL May 21
Edited on Fri May-16-08 12:15 PM by L0oniX
Obama coming to Tampa Bay

http://blogs.tampabay.com/buzz/2008/05/obama-coming-to.html

Details to come, but Barack Obama is set to do some kind of public campaign event in Tampa Bay on the afternoon of Wednesday, May 21.

Coming the day after he's likely to win a majority of elected delegates in Oregon and Kentucky (and a potentially logical day for Hillary Clinton to exit), Obama's Tampa Bay stop is is part of a three-day campaign swing through Florida. It's the first time since August that the Illinois senator has been willing do campaign in Florida outside of private fundraisers.

My reservation says the doors open at 10:30 and the Obama show starts at 12:00 @ the St Pete Times Forum, Tampa FL

He will be in Bradington FL on Thursday.

21. I wish I could have party
but here in Korea I'll be working as I have 7 classes to teach that day. I'm going to be lucky if I can sneak a peak at the results late in the afteroon (we are +17 hours PDT). One thing is for sure, I'll have my Obama shirt on. So you know inside I'll be partying even though I can't on the outside.

I predict that it'll be a rough GE, likely the slimiest ever, and it'll put the US to the acid test. But I think the Dems will win big.

2 different polls now (SUSA and ARG) have shown Obama with a decent lead but shown them tied among people who already sent their ballots. What are all of Obama's supporters waiting for?

35. Obama should be releasing fund raising numbers before Tuesday.
Maybe Sunday or Monday, get the media big in his favor, and then blow 'em away with the OR win, victory speech and on to the GE campaign in FL.

And, I a nervous to say it, with Gore by his side!

37. Some will say that winning a majority of pledged delegates was only a "goal"
(with air quotes) at the beginning of the nomination process.

Now that we are closer to the end and one candidate will lose using that standard, other metrics are being brought forth to justify that candidate. These other metrics vary depending on the day, but include the "popular vote" (again with air quotes given the complications of Florida and Michigan and how to count popular votes in caucus states; swing states, blue states, working class whites, women, etc.

If the pledged delegate tally was reversed, it is possible that Obama's campaign would be bringing up arguments on why pledged delegates are not that important. Would he have accepted a close loss with any more "party loyalty" than Clinton? I think he would have, but I can't prove it and we will never know for sure.

39. My 13 year old loves Amer. Idol. I have only seen snippets. But when I told her that
Kumar (Kal Penn) of "Harold and Kumar 2: Escape from Guantanamo" fame is going to be at the Obama for Montana Office in Missoula at 10:30 on Sunday, to lead a group to go out canvassing, she was really excited.
