We're Gonna Need a Biggger Bus
You know I dont think any old school bus or coach bus will do. I think we need a triple decker bus to run over Geraldine Ferraro. She goes on Fucks News and spouts Bullshit every so often just so she can get her face on camera to soothe her ego. She first claimed that people in the Obama campaign were calling her a racist, though she never had a name. Now, she claims Obama is terribly sexist....seems to me like somebody is pissed off that she isnt front and center anymore. She is a disgrace to the Democratic Party and I think we need a bigger bus, because the usual bus wont do to sufficiently to throw her out and run her over.

BTW, for all you pretending that I'm advocating a bus to run over Ferraro, which I know there will be some of you out there...Go fly a kite.

3. I don't feel too bad about her being under the bus
She's hardly a democratic icon and hasn't done a whole lot since 1984. Ideally I'd rather not have to throw any democrats under the bus, but she might be an exception.

4. Id call her something else that starts with attention, but some dont like that other word

He is constantly trying to crawl under the damned thing...perhaps there is room for Ms. Ferraro under it.

6. I don't think we need to throw her under the bus - if we keep on going
that will be sufficient because she doesn't seem to like progress very much. Take a cruise, Geraldine, and enjoy your retirement. You are a footnote at best.

16. LOL, but really I do think that
a Democratic leader of her perceived stature to even hint at not supporting the party's nominee is beyond reason, but beyond that , after reconsideration, continue to go after the "Old and Addled".You have my full support.

19. Okay, I'll be specific:
The metaphor was gratuitously violent and the rhetoric was unnecessarily overheated; the whole thing seemed designed to enflame the wounds of Clinton supporters first and anyone with a conscience second. Obama's gonna win the nomination; with this inevitability in sight, doncha think it might be a tad more productive to work towards finding some common ground rather than to make even MORE enemies?

Just my opinion, your stinkyness.

20. Metaphor was gratutiously violent?
Its an extremely common metaphor to throw somebody under the bus. Second, I dont think Ferraro cares about being productive. She just cares about getting the attention on herself so she can make some more news. Third, this was in response to what Ferraro has said, not to anger Clinton supporters. If they were angry, so be it. I'm not their mommy.

22. It may be a common turn of phrase, but...
you chopped and channelled that fucker to make it much more active than its typical form; the person being thrown under the bus is usually the party the reader sympathizes with, because it conveys a sense of passivity or victimhood. It is foolish to put yourself in the position of the bus driver in this particular metaphor, because you become ridiculously unsympathetic. When you then make the bus a machine of violent aggression against a woman (especially a respected Democratic woman) then you've completely perverted the meaning and purpose of the "thrown under the bus" metaphor.

It just didn't work, okay?

And this is coming from an Obama supporter - remember that. Just because Ferarro said some untrue things about Obama doesn't mean we ought to kill her, metaphorically or otherwise. I'd like to think Obama's vision of the party was more inclusive than that.
