Congratulations, USA!!! We have two candidates who risen above prejudice in America.
Regardless of what you think of one or the other, they have become two of the most powerful people in the country.

Hillary Clinton has shown the world how strong a woman really can be.

Barack Obama has forever shattered the myth of black inferiority.

Can we come together for just a moment, Clinton and Obama supporter alike, and celebrate this?

2. It's too bad her race-baiting in particular stained an otherwise historic campaign.

5. For just one moment, Bloo. That's all I ask.
If you can't celebrate Hillary's achievement, then celebrate Obama's.

3. Thank you for being so thoughtful and inclusive. The
democratic party needs to respect both candidates. Not neccessarily agree, but respect. When the primary is over, it is my hope to move to support the winner.

So exciting that voter registration and participation has gone through the roof.

This will be very helpful for Democrats in November in states red, blue and purple!

9. LOL! Let's all celebrate McCain's flip flops.
But you are correct, he would be the oldest elected president in history.

Mind you, I'm very willing to forgo the pleasure of celebrating that right now.

15. Clinton dog whistle politics isn't something to applaud
and pretending she ran a clean campaign is worse.

16. If you can't celebrate the person can you at least celebrate the concept?
Let's try to look at the positive for once. There are a thousand threads to focus on hurts and insults.

19. Yes, it's been truly historical.
Too bad some can't let go of their own prejudices long enough to extend their hands to each other. I am very glad that you posted this.

20. As an original supporter of the southern white man in the race, I still see the precedent being set.
Clinton and Obama have done something that even a few years ago the pundits were saying wouldn't happen in my lifetime.

There really is something to celebrate in that.
