I voted today in a school board election on LI. The budgets and some board members were up for election. Turnout was moderate. I love the smell of democracy* in the morning.
*if the budget fails, they put it up for a re-vote.

I also sent in a school mill levy ballot two weeks ago - it failed by about 200 votes (12,000 to like 11,800)
