Obama stumps in Tampa

In his first Florida campaign rally since he and other Democratic candidates agreed to boycott the state during the primary season, Barack Obama spoke as if he already has the nomination. He commended Hillary Clinton for running an outstanding campaign, and predicted the party would unify by November. But he reserved his barbs for the presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain, rapping the Arizona senator for having lobbyists on his campaign staff and saying he'd be happy to debate the Arizona Senator on foreign policy. "He has been spending the last week describing his foreign policy by describing who he won't talk to," Obama said. Obama said he would meet with both friends and enemies. "That's what John Kennedy did. That's what Ronald Reagan did. That's what Barack Obama will do." Campaign officials say about 15,000 people attended the rally.

The FL primary fiasco made me wonder if I would get a chance to see Obama in person before the convention, and I am very much looking forward to joining the excitement on Friday. I might try to take some pictures and upload them here.

30. Its hard not to have that kind of diversity in Florida.. Florida has a great

mix of people.. its a melting pot.. Unfortunately, not a lot of people pay attention to politics.. That's how we have so many Republicans and DLC people running the show.. and its not good for us. Obama kept mentioning pentions.. I don't know one single person that has a pension. We are right to work state.. which means we get nothing but bills.
