So Hillary is staying in the race "just in case". What's her plan? |

This is why I think Hillary looked so pained in giving her explanation of intent in bringing up the RFK assassination. She IS staying in the race "just in case" something, anything happens.
As an Obama supporter, I honestly think she was talking in terms of timelines...as far as I know. But even Hillary sees the horrid juxtaposition - she's staying in the race "just in case" Obama self-destructs some-how. For us to believe she intended this, we would have to think Hillary intentionally wanted to self-destruct on live TV.
But the problem is the context and environment, whether intended or not:
- Ted Kennedy was just diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer - Mike Huckabee just made a joke about Obama getting assassinated - Hillary's continuing run raises questions that has placing her own ambitions over party unity - The Supes are getting nervous over nasty, divisive comments and are on the lookout for more
Now Hillary's assassination comment has tied these all into a nice bow. Bottom line, from now on, when people question why Hillary is staying in the race, the sick punchline will be that she's just waiting for the bullet to arrive.
Bottom line, she doesn't recover from this, and Obama no longer has to answer questions about why she won't be on the ticket.
But again, I just don't buy it that this was at all intentional (the "as far as I know" part above was a joke, obviously) - Hillary did not want to self-destruct today.
