on a more rational note: this is the cost of a kitchen sink negative campaign |
|
even if something were accidental, or a slip of the tongue (which I don't believe it was in this case), but even if it were, ONCE you start a scorched earth, ultranegative kitchen sink campaign you cannot EVER be given the benefit of the doubt. Everyone MUST conclude the worst possible interpretation of your actions and words, because you've already been scorching the earth.
this is the cost of taking the lowest path possible to victory.
this is karma.

8. beautiful or not, it is a certain thing. |

and we should LEARN from this going forward: Only republicans can run this type of campaign and survive, because down deep, republican voters will overlook the most vile reprehensible behaviour possible. Democrats will not.

now it's too hard for people to give her the benefit of a doubt, no matter what she meant.

she's done way too much damage to be given any benefit of the doubt.
Besides, she only gave voice AGAIN to what she's thought and said before. This was no gaffe.
I truly believe that in her desperation, she was channeling her wishes.

15. I believe she wanted the SDs to view her as the less vulnerable of the candidates |
|
I think she wanted to remind them of awful things that have happened and nudge the Supers to choose her.
It was a disastrous decision.
