And if so, exactly how? How do you overcome Obama's lead? Even if you count Florida and Michigan, Obama still has more delegates. Not only has Obama been racking up more superdelegates lately, there are even former Hillary SD's that are now abandoning her and switching to Obama. Obama has the lead in the delegate count, superdelegates, popular vote, states won, and money raised. Polls show Obama with a lead over McCain, which will only widen the more Obama gets to focus on McCain and point out his similarities to Bush, and McCain's hypocrisy on issues like campaign finance reform.

So if you really think that Hillary can still win, can you explain exactly how?

Rasmussen Markets data gives Sen. Obama a 62.9% chance of winning in November

"The Rasmussen Reports Balance of Power Calculator shows Democrats leading in states with 200 Electoral Votes while the GOP has the advantage in states with 189. When “leaners” are included, the Democrats enjoy a 260-240 Electoral College lead. Rasmussen Markets data gives Democrats a 62.9% chance of winning in November (results are updated on a 24/7 basis by market participants). "

"Rasmussen Reports believes the race is over and that Barack Obama will be the nominee of the Democratic Party. We will stop tracking the Democratic race in the near future to focus exclusively on the Obama-McCain match-up."

21. Oh really. Gore won the popular vote in the GE;
Edited on Sat May-24-08 06:43 AM by Window
repeat, Gore won the popular vote in the GE, and look where it got him. If Hillary was more electable, why did Sen. Obama beat the pants suit off her.

2. I think it's clear now. Obama could be assassinated
and there would Hillary be ready to cash in.

I'm so disgusted and saddened tonight. Everytime I try to cut her a break it's like she knows it and deliberately digs her hole deeper. Today, she dug it past the point of any return.

This is a lot of BS about nothing….Obama needs to get back to work and try to bamboozle the people for the November elections…and oh! ya……Hillary isn’t going anywhere…”get use to it”

I think this will unite a WHOLE buncha people around HIllary..This is so Obvious!

Anyone with half a brain KNOWS what she was saying. To turn this into a Barack Obama Pity Party...is sick and shows just how conceited and vain this man is. History cali...history.

15. I am pretty sure
of what she believes she was trying to say directly. However, political language is an art form. A skilled politician chooses language not only to convey the direct point but to further create an image. There are many examples of campaigns that went into June or even to the convention floor. The larger question is why has she chosen this one over and over for the purpose of illustration?

The very best interpretation I can put on her selection of imagery is that "anything can happen" in these contests. At this point in this campaign with her position in regard to delegates, votes, and momentum, the list of "anythings" that could happen to deliver her the nomination has gotten increasingly small, and most would be something nearly this traumatic. Even in this context, the choice of language was horribly unfortunate.

26. Well,
they tried the normal voting and going to caucuses bit first, but she wouldn't take the hint. I expect it feels rather like being a Dean supporter when the "scream" happened. I found all that rather unfair and rather disgusting. My feelings did not change the outcome.

Such logic. How infallible. How can one argue with such brilliance?

Of course, I can't help but notice that you didn't exactly say how Hillary is going to accomplish this.

9. only in the parallel universe of the DLC
where greed-heads pose as "Democrats" so they can pretend to wring their hands and "be concerned" over the invasion of defenseless countries, with atrocities and mass murder of people out of sight/out of mind while conducting their backroom deals with third-world dictators and laughing all the way to the bank, selling the precious natural resources and public infrastructure of the U.S., running an Orwellian blitz of propaganda and distraction, complicitly standing by while the Constitution, civil liberties, and human rights are dismantled and trashed -- only in that kind of world, which the Republican scum known as the DLC want so badly.

12. "Infatuation"
"This isn’t about me. This is about you," Obama preached, "I'm just the excuse for what you are accomplishing, for what you are making happen all across this country. See, I am inspired by you, I'm infatuated with you!"

"Reporters don't know what to do. They have been shocked at the high turnout in every early states," Obama said, and later, "A lot of reporters don’t really understand what y'all are doing…"

20. The Obamites seem to believe it. Why else would they be having a cow on a daily basis here in GD-P?
Edited on Sat May-24-08 06:41 AM by Perry Logan
If the Obammers really believed they had the nomination, they'd be calming down instead of becoming wilder and weirder with each passing day. For people who are winning, they sure are acting like losers.

Ever think that might have something to do with the fact that Hillary just won't go away, that she keeps spewing out ever more incendiary stuff, that she continually plunges to lower and lower depths?
