Thanks, Hillary, for giving Barack the cover he needs to pick his own VP |
|
By openly fantasizing about his murder, and not for the first time, we can safely say that Barack Obama now has a lot more freedom to choose his own running mate than he did 24 hours ago.
I'm certain that Obama was going to go his own way anyway, but yesterday morning the prospect of Hillary being VP was gaining far too much steam for my taste. While few in the media actually believed she would ultimately be his pick, that wasn't the point. The idea was to sell the idea so that when Obama went in a different direction, Hillary could be portrayed as a victim again and the Obama/Clinton "rivalry" fire would receive a blast of much desired media fuel. Obama's VP pick would take a back seat to Hillary's feelings and those of her supporters for weeks thereafter, thus depriving Obama of the typical post-running mate selection boost.
This could well still happen, but now the Obama camp has a shiny new argument for ignoring Hillary that everyone can readily understand.

2. Yeah, Hillary pretty much killed any chance for her becoming VP |
|
In fact the longer she stays in this, the more harm she is doing to her career. She keeps shooting herself in the foot, time and again.

6. Maybe this was Hillary's passive/aggressive way of shooting down Bill's VP play |
|
Maybe that was all Bill's idea!

As noted, the media was boxing him into a corner on it ... But, as noted, VERY hard to have a VP who has repeatedly spoke about the potential of her boss getting assassinated ...

yea she has gone fucking CRAZEEEEEEE...even a black woman, a Clinton supporter (an EX, now she said) was saying on Washington Journal that HER medical records should be checked instead of McCain's because she sounds bi-polar. My wife said this morning that Michelle must be pissed...does her unending quest for power ever stop to consider those two little Obama daughters...ever? So in other words she's OK with those kids growing up without their daddy so long as she can be the nominee.
