The silver lining is that now Obama is off the hook about his veep choice...
People will stop pressuring him and he can feel free to put together an exciting and page-turning ticket.

It's a beautiful day and I've been wearing my YES, WE CAN t-shirt around town, meeting other voters who are inspired by Obama's campaign ~ there's a lot to look forward to this Memorial Day weekend!

THANK YOU TO DU VETS & THEIR FAMILIES!!!

2. Once you say the A-word, and then repeat it, you're off the short list.
So really, it's a good thing.

15. I don't know who I'd choose if I were Barack...
But I have a feeling he knows what he's doing.

5. Agreed. Hopefully this takes a couple of things off the table
1. Pushing the "Dream ticket"

2. Meandering speculation about the scenarios remaining by which Hillary can win. Actually, I'd almost like to see them answer this one after yesterday...

6. Yes. Now he can skip that embarrassing charade altogether.
Likewise the convention appearance. Sorry, it's just good politics. Bill and Hill will understand.

12. I think there will be a lot of Voter Registration events this weekend...
Now that the campaign seems to be looking toward the general, I'm stocking up on voter reg forms and carrying them everywhere. Wearing a shirt is a great way to get a conversation going with strangers ~ and make sure they're registered! :)

14. Great job! My car stash has been depleted...
I'll have to get more before the town parade on Monday. For our closed primary we had to convince people to switch parties ~ it'll be a lot easier now!
