RFK Jr great article about important news of the week the media ignored
while it focused on other things.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/robert-f-kennedy-jr-and-brendan-demelle/unearthed-news-of-the-wee_b_103352.html

Yes, he supports Hillary but, here's what he has to say about what is happening in our country.

"Karl Rove Faces Possible Arrest For Refusing To Testify Before Congress
House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers issued a subpoena to Karl Rove on Thursday. Rove's lawyer responded by claiming that Rove is "not a free agent" and will not appear because the White House has instructed Rove not to testify. Conyers announced earlier that Karl Rove may face contempt of Congress charges and possible arrest if he fails to appear before the committee. Conyers said the committee is "closing in on Rove," who is accused of orchestrating a Justice Department effort to oust Alabama's former Democratic Governor Don Siegelman. If Rove fails to appear, Conyers says, "We'll do what any self-respecting committee would do. We'd hold him in contempt. Either that or go and have him arrested."

Rove's role in the imprisonment of Don Siegelman is just one of the topics about which Conyers' committee wants Rove to testify. "We want him for so many things, it's hard to keep track," Conyers said."

RFK Jr's article goes on to discuss lots of other disturbing things that happened in the last week that the media ignored.

BTW I'm an Obama supporter who very much appreciates the hard work of RFK Jr.

1. He supports Hillary but it would be a sad day if Dems turned on a Kennedy
because he supported someone they didn't agree with. :)

2. He has kind of jumped the shark on other things too
I am predicting Bobby will have about zero credibility within a year or so.

But we shall see.

9. oh yeah thimerosal
Bobby Jr has a solid history on fighting for the environment and so on though. I don't think his credibility will evaporate into thin air anytime soon, but yeah, you have a point.

12. That's a big enough deal to me
that I pay zero attention to Bobby now. You would think a man as smart as he is would understand junk science.

7. I would LOVE to see that, but his herion bust will likely make that impossible
Gotta be realistic. I'd back him with everything I have, but something like that would be too much for most people to overlook.

10. How much was ignored while Rev Wright was on 24/7 for weeks?
Just sayin.

That said, I adore RFK, jr. and admire all he's done in his life and continues to do. I've never understood his endorsement or conitinued support for Hillary Clinton, but it has not and never will diminish my enormous respect for him.

15. Obama has nothing substantive to counter with
if he had anything more going for him than speeches, rallies, corporate money and a cult campaign, he could get the news media to focus more on his issues. What can he do to divert attention? Encourage animal sacrifice at this next rally?

But Obama is an empty suit. He stands for nothing, he offers nothing, he can't really talk in depth about issues. Other than his rallies, he has nothing substantive to say that could divert the media's attention.

19. Yes, the ones writting by conservative think tanks
Sadly, since other people wrote his positions for him, he's incapable of discussing those issues in depth (go back and look at his stuttering debate performances).

He also has little interest in those positions and issues - he's already backtracked on his health care reform plan.

13. I wish I could still count on Conyers to back his words with action.
Sadly, this all appears to me like just another charade from the spineless wimps who were elected to represent us in Congress.

14. Obama doesn't care about GOP crimes against Dems
He's a one way street - whoever is willing to do something that benefits him personally is his friend, whether GOP, Dem, foreign dicatotor or corporate criminal.

Please don't distract us with talk of GOP crimes and the outrage of a Dem governor being made a political prisoner by Rove. Don't you understand? Its not about Obama, so it means NOTHING.

RFK Jr. didn't blame Obama for the nations woes. He went after the msm. I really don't understand you.

18. RFK JR should have given Hillary tips on how to write her Op ed
If she is going to avoid a mea culpa and frame the issue as "my words were taken out of context, this is a manufactured controversy by the media", it would have been a more compelling arguement to frame her article in the way that RFK did. I feel like she never publically antagonizes John McCain in the same way that Obama has been doing recently, which she should, because it would give her publicity. If she wants to blame the media and claim that the press has been easy on Obama and lavished him with praise, why not also say that for John McCain, who has had several big stories in the past two days and receives the easiest ride from the media than anyone.

20. Something else he's said about the race:
"I’m not saying anything bad about my candidate but I– it is funny at New Hampshire that all the ones that were hand-counted went for Obama and all the ones that were machine counted went for Hillary."

21. Thanks
I hadn't read that. It's a shame that * has kept us so continually busy with his destruction of the country that electoral reform and black box voting tends to go back underground after elections. RFK jr has always been such a vocal proponent for reform, it's good to know he noticed that particularly glaring statistic.
