Here is a thought... For Memorial Day...
I don't spend a lot of time here because it is a bust for me either way. I have not been enthralled or enamored of any national Dem candidate since Howard Dean. I have, for the most part, focused my efforts on local grassroots political campaigns. I only tell you this as a bit of background. Getting on to the thought...

It's Memorial Day, or at least the weekend of... For one day would people? Could people (gosh this sounds like Dr. Suess) stop baiting and hating each other for just these few days? Could they instead turn to thinking of people lost to them, or lost to others. Of those lost in wars...those lost for nothing? Could people really do that? Or is baiting and hating just far too important on this weekend.

I send you here...to this thread... to remember:

This thread that shouldn't be where it is...but should be in GD, or even here.

Whatever you do, whomever you choose to remember, have a nice weekend.

2. Okay is sometimes relative, you know?
My kids are off, participating in a parade with a local Dem candidate (that Nik interns for). I didn't feel like going but now the silence is quite deafening.

5. Mine too...
I have been trying to find a picture of MrG reflected in the black of the wall when we were there in 2002 and it's killing me that I can't find it. And it's killing me that there are so many posts here and only the two there.
