These Clintons are so unrecognizable, they are driving sane people mad!
I think it's unfortunate that things have gotten so bad that posters here on DU with hundreds, even thousands of posts are attacking the Clintons with the fervor (and language) of the most rabid freeper.

But these are not the Clintons we knew and supported.

These Clintons are being treated with the same disdain as we treat Republicans because they are acting like Republicans. Only the Republicans are being true to their cause, while the Clintons are betraying theirs.

These Clintons are more than willing to destroy the Democratic Party to get what they want. And many of us that have defended and supported them over the years are sick with anger and grief.

These Clintons are holding the party hostage and are showing NO concern for our chances in the General Election.

These Clintons have openly attacked the party, the party frontrunner, and the party processes as undemocratic. As LESS democratic than the Republican party.

These Clinton's actions have garnered the support of Rove and Limbaugh and Scaife and Buchanan and FOX News and we are just sick about it.

These Clintons are now running a campaign based solely on the idea that they can steal the nomination if they can only tell enough lies, enough times, to enough people.

These Clintons must be stopped.

6. The Clintons have not changed. They are being deliberately mislabeled and lied about.
There is not one single sentence spoken by either Bill or Hillary that smacks of racism or assassination or even of insult where Obama is concerned.

Instead, there are many incidents when the Clinton's were were intentionally taken out of context (usually by Axelrod, who forwarded his 'spin' on them to be repeated in the MSM).

The reason so many people here believe the Clintons are dirty is because they are getting their opinions from the same MSM that trashed WJC, trashed, Gore, trashed Kerry and iare now trashing Hillary. Meanwhile that same MSM is consistently praising Obama just as it consistently praised Bush.

And for the SAME reason.

12. Do you deny they are willing to destroy the party to get the nomination?

The MSM is not "spinning" the fact that the Hillary Clinton was okay with Michigan and Florida delegates not being counted until she decided that she needed them.

Until her arrogant, uppity, over-confident plan to see the contest over by "February 5th" didn't work out.

Do you deny it?

Bill Clinton said that the Republican Party cares more about counting votes than his own Democratic Party.

Do you deny it?

Hillary Clinton is whipping the Floridians into a frenzy with talk about how the Democratic Party wants to not count their votes and cheat her of the nomination.

Do you deny it?

Hillary Clinton actually suggested to people that maybe if the Democratic Party didn't want to count their votes that the Republican Party would love to have them.

I took that to mean if the Dems don't count your vote, vote Republican.

Do you deny it?

Hillary Clinton at best, callously, and at worst, viciously, shoehorned into her talking points the assassination of Robert Kennedy to further her pathetic case that she should stay in the race when she is losing the contest by EVERY measurable metric.

Do you deny it?

Finally, as a bonus, NOTHING that Hillary Clinton has shown in this campaign--not fundraising ability, not money management, not debates, not winning of new voters, not winning of pledged delegates, not winning of super delegates, not winning of states, not winning of caucuses, not ground game, and especially not campaign management, has shown that she has the ABILITY to win the General Election. Nothing at all.

Do you deny this?

Please notice that none of the above mentions attacks on Obama or racism.

Her attacks on the Democratic Party and the democratic process ALONE is enough to make anyone scream.

18. I agree the Clintons have not changed.
It's long been alluded to that their main focus was furthering themselves at all costs. It's just become more apparent to the general public during this campaign.

11. We stood up for them because they were representing the party.
Edited on Mon May-26-08 07:23 PM by TexasObserver
The attacks upon them in the 90s were unreasonable. Republicans attacked them, and we rallied to defend them. Even when they capitulated to the Republicans on key matters, we stood by them.

But then this decade began, and they both began taking care of themselves in disgusting fashion. Hillary immediately decided to become Miss Hard Ass on Foreign Policy and Domestic Spying. Bill sold himself to the highest bidder, nonstop.

They both think they hold some ownership rights on the Democratic party, and both have that sense of entitlement that pervades everything they do.

15. The worse thing to me about this election
other than the Clintons antics has been watching them morph into someone I no longer recognized. It's very disappointing-but now it's just making me angry. It's really sad to see them go out like this but I wish they'd just go and go quickly.
