The Urgency of NOW vs THEN |
|
Now is all we ever really have.
Then is gone..faded away
We can only USE then, to help us understand NOW.
We do not need to go BACK to then (nor could we ever, really), to chart our course
The Clintons misjudged us. They thought we wanted Then..
They should have known better..their theme song was "Don't Stop Thinking About Tomorrow"
We can remember Then...
We must live in the NOW
We HAVE to hope for the Future
The Clintons "know" this...they just hoped we would indulge them one more trip down memory lane, and on this trip, they would do it "better"..
They wasted their "Now"... threw it in the trash can They handed our tomorrow to George W Bush
He's our Then, as are they
We want NOW...and we want it NOW.. Our tomorrows depend on getting it just right, and their track record says we cannot count on them

1. K/R ... They haven't given us any reason to count on them |
|
Now, we're not running against Hillary the Candidate anymore. We're running against the demise of the DLC. We should expect this. They've given us no reason to think otherwise. This is going to get much worse.
I wouldn't be surprised if Hillary didn't have any decision-making powers within her own campaign anymore. She's now merely a figurehead, the "spokesperson."

2. Very much like Bush was a figurehead.. that alone is reason enough to NOT "install" her |
