Why do Hillary supporters say they won't support Obama in GE, when Hillary herself says she will??
... in fact Hillary has said she'll "work for Obama with all her heart".

So what's up with you Hillary supporters that you'd defy the wishes of your own favorite candidate?

Don't you believe that she really means it, or are you so boneheaded that you'd like to see a
McCain presidency and all that implies?

This has me baffled. Help me out.

4. Because there have been enough Obama supports who have said the same exact thing
that they won't support Hillary if she gets the nomination.

I call bullshit on both ends. I'm a democrat - both candidates have put up a good fight and both candidates would be a far better option than 4 years with McCain as our president

16. I'm talking about what I've read here in DU
Sure, polls have indicated otherwise - I don't doubt what you've read. I've just read enough posts here about how some Clinton supporters won't support Obama.

I'm calling out both sides - not just one!

22. That's because Hillary has been vilified by Obama supporters non stop.
They are angry and have good reason not to vote for him. Hillary supporters have not been bashing Obama supporters nearly as much and there is no comparison! Obama supporters would never not vote for him.
Hillary supporters have no allegiance to Obama and could easily turn away...especially if they are Indies, centrists and/or women who hate the way Hillary has been treated. It's time people realized that and if they want to win the GE....they better get on the stick and quit bashing Hillary at every opportunity. I'm frankly sick of it! :puke:

27. The OP asked why you wouldn't...
if Senator Clinton asked you to.

Specifically, what would be your reason for rejecting the wishes of your favored candidate, a person who you greatly admire and whom you support.

Not just why you don't want to, personally, but why you would think her wrong to ask you to do that.

9. And now that Obama is the presumptive nominee it's time to move on..
I know it's a crazy thought, but hey let's fight for our nominee!
It'll be great fun even if Obama is your second, third, or last choice.

5. None of the her anti-GE supporters make sense to me.
Writing in Clinton is nothing more than selfish. I'm happy that some people are so involved in politics that they want to make some kind of statement, but this is the wrong way to go.

7. Because she is not telling the truth
again?

How hard did she work for Gore?

How hard did she work for Kerry?

She doesn't really have a good record for working for Presidential nominees whose last names aren't Clinton.

10. There has always been a visceral..
dislike of Obama on this board. I believe many of those who cite FOX news, and other right wing rags to shore up their views, will vote for McCain, which is fine by me. The Republican Party obviously represents their core beliefs.

11. I'll bet many of them partake in Operation Chaos...

the impact of these voters, however vocal they may be on DU, is far less than the impact of all the new, younger voters being brought into the Democratic campaign process by Obama.

Part of winning the GE is uniting the Dem. Party.
I was just trying to provide a helpful reminder as to what Hillary herself said about supporting Obama.
