Seriously, Is This All You've Got?
Edited on Tue May-27-08 04:55 PM by JFN1
And you don't see how pathetic this is?

Clinton supporters are reduced to:

"Obama sees dead people."
"Obama is trying to re-write WWII history."
"Obama once called someone a mean 'ol pee-pee head." Okay, I made that one up, but it fits the vein of actual posts.

And lets not forget the constant cry of "LIAR" directed at Obama, without any actual lies to back it up, while at the same time, Clinton can't seem to go an entire day without lying about something, big or small.

So you Clinton supporters have nothing of substance? Nothing that deals with the issues at hand? No actual, coherent reasons why Obama is unfit to be President?

You've been reduced to name calling and gleefully jumping on any and all mis-speaks by Obama?

THIS IS ALL YOU'VE GOT?

So explain then -- if this is all you've got, if you're left only with stones to throw instead of substantive issues -- how can any of the rest of us continue to take you seriously?

You sound like angry kids on a playground who find they've lost a game of "Red Rover," and can't seem to get over it.

Because, Clinton supporters, unless you start offering something of actual substance, well, to put it bluntly, you sound more and more like just a bunch of sore losers...

Update: And seriously - the Democratic Primary is a DELEGATE contest - not a POPULAR VOTE contest. In this contest, the popular vote does not count. Just like the General Election, the popular vote is interesting, but at the end of the day it does not determine who will be President. Please, Clinton supporters - accept this. And - maybe - just maybe - if your candidate hadn't assumed victory at the beginning, and had rolled up her sleeves and worked the way Obama did, she would be winning the delegate count.

21. I just think it is pathetic.
I think if these people stopped for five seconds, substituted 'Obama' in their arguments in place of 'Clinton', then maybe they would finally hear what we are hearing. Is it funny when people melt down? It can be. But I don't think this meltdown is particularly humorous...or welcomed...and I wonder what it will ultimately cost us as a country - Hillary's RFK comment aside...

34. Let's see the links then. Oh, I won't hold my breath...
Edited on Tue May-27-08 05:14 PM by Dr_eldritch
You know what "lower than dogshit" is? "Lower than dogshit" Is pledging to follow DNC rules right up until you think you'll lose, then telling all your supporters to help you go back on your pledge as though you never made it. "Lower than dogshit" is claiming that 'not enough white people' will vote for your 'black' opponent to win him the General Election. "Lower than dogshit" is invoking the image of assasination during the primary when it's just about the only way you can hope to get the nomination. THOSE are "lower than dogshit."

Obama supporters "lower than dogshit"? I've learned that you guys can't back shit like that up. You take some of the most ambiguous statements and pretend they mean something they don't. Nothing you guys produce holds up to scrutiny.

Oh, I'm sure there's some uncalled for shit out there somewhere by Obama supporters, but most of the rude commentary on Clinton is either justifiable, or it's by trolls trying to get you to treat your fellow Democrats like shit. How sad that it seems to work on you.

If Clinton didn't behave so badly, people could hardly justify calling her names, could they?

You guys treat the issue as though it's ubiquitous here, but when I ask you to back it up, you have nothing.

When I say that Clinton supporters are delusional and sexist, I can back it up...
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=5896810&mesg_id=5897454

See?

So, go get this "lower than dogshit" stuff and lay it out.

"Hillary should get the VP spot" is a popular

48. I meant
the one about kicking her in the "c***". That was way over the line, and there is no excuse for anything so childish, beligerent, and violent in this case. Sure, she has behaved like a racist piece of shit that represents everything wrong with blue-blood politics, but that still does not give you the right to be a shithead and give the impression that any supporter of any candidate is such a dirtbag as to suggest such an act.

I would also condemn any woman that suggested kicking a man in the nads for being sexist, in this case, your choice of words was disgusting and if you insist on behaving that way, then I insist that Obama, in fact any Democrat, needs no support from people like you.

Although I can understand your anger, I hope that you will choose to use more discretion in the future, however you many feel about someone.

69. Hmmm...
This was incidental, my first notice. If I were to 'stalk' you, you would have heard from me much sooner. It was in the interest of posterity, among other things, that this request for an apology was not in the form of a PM.

You have stated your "vial" character and intentions, and I have said all I have need to say.

You crossed the line, you refuse to apologize, you are responsible for giving the Clinton supporters reason to despise Obama supporters. Despite the fact that there are thankfully few like yourself here, I cannot fail to recognize how willing they are to take the words of someone like yourself and presume they are the sentiments of all genuine Obama people.

I'm glad that there are so very few like you.

You don't help with this kind of bullshit.

It seems my initial take on you in the thread with Monkeyfunk is dead on.

But considering that the VAST MAJORITY of DUers appear to support Obama (probably by 8:1), this would indicate FAR GREATER "civility" on the part of the Obama-supporters.

54. Did you get the finger code he uses?
Because I thought that was one of the best ones. Just my opinion. :applause:

56. Well, what are Clinton supporters supposed to go after Obama on... the ISSUES?
C'mon, there's hardly any difference between them as far as issues go. This was bound to turn into a personality contest.

57. You nailed it
It has come down to personality, and I think the resulting stratification has been very telling...

64. No.
It's not all I've got.

And I'm not a fan of HRC.

I've got his consistent support for conservative positions: education, the war on terror, health insurance....

I've got the fact that he is a hawk.

I've got the fact that he said he'd leave unilateral military action in Pakistan "on the table."

I've got the fact that he doesn't walk his talk: claiming to be "against the war," CAMPAIGNING on that, and then voting to support the war every chance he got.

I've got his allowing homophobes to campaign for him.

I could go on, but this is enough for me.

65. And Obama supporters accuse Clinton (and me!) of wanting Obama assassinated.
Of the two, I think Obama's followers win for the most inane argument.
