It has nothing to do with not liking Kerry! |

I love Kerry! I have not supported another candidate on DU at any time, or said one negative thing about Kerry until recently. Even now, I don't see it as negative. I see it as encouragement. I have tried to frame it tactfully, but I never seem to get my point across.
Kerry is almost too good to be true. He has the dream bio, great intelligence, and yes, charm. I saw him in person and up close, and he is attractive physically as well. He has everything, and he should fear NOTHING, especially a little chimpwad like *. Whereas other Dem candidates may have had to be cautious about topics like military service or "family values" because of perceived weaknesses, Kerry does not have those drawbacks. He has nothing to fear.
He can and should stand up for himself when lies are spread about him. It would help others to see the wonderful man that we support here at DU.

3. You know you're right he does seem too good to be true |

His economic ideas are the best I've ever seen out of any candidate and the fact that he has Edwards at his side, a man who in his own right is a star and is hardly a toady it just makes you wonder how the hell they can lose and why the Republicans hate Kerry so much especially with the two lemons they're forced to ride with.

5. Hey he turned me into a Democrat! |
|
yup I already told the whole transition story long ago, but I liked Kerry since I went to his site the day he won the primaries in Iowa just to find out what he was all about and I found myself in agreement with pretty much if not everything he was pushing. The same thing for Edwards although I wanted Kerry to win, from that day on I was actually crossing my fingers for a Kerry/Edwards ticket.
Low and behold!!

Kerry-Edwards was my ticket I wanted after starting to support Kucinich. Kerry is an amazing guy who reminds me of the great dems of the past, its amazing to have him as the nom. Glad youre with the good side of things, this party fucking kicks the ass out of the other.

7. John Kerry rocks, and that's all there is to it!! |

I still think nobody will ever match the Big Dog for sheer rock star power, talent, and brains, but there will be NO nose-holding for me when I go to vote for Kerry!

8. he does stand up for himself |
|
but the media doesn't always show what he does or says. and he can't waste his entire time responding to every attack since they will keep coming and he wont have time to discuss his plans for the country.
we have to help also in getting out there and getting others to vote. contribute money to dnc, moveon, league of conservation voters and other groups. if you don't have money then just volunteering to do things like help people to register to vote or helping them to get to polling place on day of election helps. get out among the people and speak to them.
one thing that happened in iowa was max cleland and other vet buddies of kerry contacted other veterans in the state and personally wrote to them on supporting kerry. most of the precincts in the state kerry won were places that half or more of kerry supporters were veterans. remember, the goal isn't just to convince people kerry is better than bush but to get them out to vote on election day.

remember that many people who repeat the lies about kerry, especially ones who support bush do so NOT because they believe it but because they WANT to believe it. their intention is not to get to the truth about kerry but rather to hurt him and in turn help bush.

11. That's very true. I have nothing against Kerry as a person whatsoever. |
|
I don't go in for the "Lurch"-style character tear-down. I'm completely neutral on Kerry the man.
It's some of his policies, which will affect millions here and abroad, that I have a problem with. But it has nothing to do with not liking the guy.
