Right now, I'm about 85 percent behind Obama, and the rest of me belongs to John and Elizabeth Edwards.

But all of me will be behind Obama when he has the nomination sewn up, because I need to give my energy to his campaign rather than mourning what might have been.

...... it was my friend's.

Do you remember Ahearn's Ice Cream down by Short Beach .... at the hill overlooking the airport? It had that kiddie amusement park behind it. What was the name of the place down the hill? Another burger and ice cream joint.

If you can remember the road there (coming from the airport toward Ahearn's), the road made a sweeping uphill right hand turn. There was another red Comet Cyclone, just like my friend's. It left that other joint heading for Ahearn's and moving really fast. He missed a shift (you could hear it all the way to the beach, I bet!) and ran off the road. All we could see were his headlights looking up at the sky and then disappearing. He rolled the car, but walked away.

For weeks, people thought it was my friend's Comet.

26. Jeezus Pal...I would'a missed it....

...But my younger brother remembered the joint was "Howie's"...In '73 a buddy of his rolled a '67 mustang with a 427 side oiler going down that hill just before the area where Howie's was...Spectacular crash that was seen by several school busses witnessed...the scoop at school was there were several fatalities...I'm glad the poop was wrong-my brother was in that car and no one was seriously injured....and later I popped the driver's sister whom was also in the vehicle...it was one hell of a summer...

I know Clowny was born and raised in Bridgeport, Ct...I was raised in the next town over, Stratford, Ct...Clowny has a year or two on me but we kind'a know a few of the burger joints together.If he ever came as far north as my burger stand he might like it. But New Hampshire is a long haul from Baltimore.
