Senator Clinton's speech is obviously about positioning for the VP slot |
|
Edited on Tue Jun-03-08 08:41 PM by Caution
At no point to this point has she said "I will be the President" which she has said over and over in every other speech.
She continues to talk about delivering swing states, etc
I'm very impressed.

7. Still..not once has she said "I will be President" |
|
She's talking about unifying the party, she's talking about issues that we all care about. This is *exactly* what we were told to expect. Conciliatory but not a concession.
It's a very good speech. Contrast this with McCain's speech.

8. I agree. And the people who thought she would concede or stop her campaign today are crazy. |
|
She's not going to say she's going out to this crowd. If she does something it will be in the next few days, but she can't keep going on when Obama has the delegates, since she knows she'll look a fool.

She's leaving on a positive note that respects her supporters. She's clearly leaving. She also clearly SHOULDN'T leave her supporters on a down note.

12. She's doesn't have it, if you take this speech as an indicator... |
|
If there had been a deal made, her speech would have been much more gracious, imo, less about "her" because she wouldn't have to be selling herself.
I am NOT impressed, not at all.
She could have been so much more dignified but it was not to be.
