Hillary Clinton had the opportunity tonight to redeem some semblance of dignity by bowing out gracefully and throwing all her weight behind Obama.
She continued to push the flawed logic and math of her popular vote claims. She continued to push the same wedges to divide the party.
She stood smiling as her supporters chanted, "Denver! Denver!". And she said she had not yet decided what to do next.
Well, it is no longer yours to decide. The decision is made.
You are done.

26. Obama's night was stolen. Major rant follows. |
|
Barack Obama just won the Democratic nomination - fair and square. The toughest primary fight in decades, maybe ever.
This should have been his night.
This should have been the night the Democratic Party united behind their first black presidential nominee.
This should have been a night of pure, unadulterated joy.
But nooooooooooo. Clinton and McCain had to bum everyone out with their suckiness.
Perfect!!!!
Especially sad is the fact that Clinton could have been part of the celebration. She could have reached out and endorsed the party's nominee and there be singing and dancing and making merry like Christmas. She could have been a star.
But nooooooooooo!!! She had to let everyone know that she DEMANDS respect, supposedly for her supporters. But we all know who she's really talking about. The same person she always talks about. Herself.
Silly, Hillary. Doesn't she know that you have to give respect to receive it? Doesn't she know that respect is earned not demanded?
I guess not.
Her underlying threat to "Go nuclear?" is flat out blackmail and the victims are us Democrats. She is making us all look like clowns. I, for one, will hold her personally responsible if we do not win back the White House in November. I will never forgive her for it. I will devote my life to make sure she never wins an office higher than dog catcher.

29. I was shocked when watching CNN last night and the talking heads there |
|
began talking about e-mails that were streaming in to them while on air. Many of the e-mails were from Hillary Clinton supporters that were complaining that it should have been "Hillary's night" because she had likely lost the nomination and needed our comfort and time to heal. But instead the damned media were focused on Obama and Obama vs. McCain.
First time a major party nominates an African American for POTUS and it should have been "Hillary's night". I was speechless.
This speaks volumes about the delusional nature of some of these people, and I believe that starts right at the top as evidenced by her refusal to take her last opportunity to bow out with any grace whatsoever and her continued combative and bitter language when she could have easily united the party.

Seriously, she's lost. She has no choice but to concede. If she doesn't she's in for some serious humiliation. The Clintons are no longer on top in the party structure. Party leaders will not put up with any shenanigans from Hillary.
Why would you want to see her go through all that?

31. Sorry, but I prefer logic. |
|
You cannot defend Hillary Clinton by pointing at Obama and yelling, "Yeah, but what about HIM?!?!"
It is logically fallacious and irrelevant.
Last night, Hillary Clinton chose to keep the division going despite the fact that her campaign is over. That was her decision and speaks volumes about HER. It has nothing to do with Obama.
Tell me, do you think she handled the situation well? Will you defend her acts or just try to deflect by pointing at others - warranted or not?
